This is actually more like a security exploit. If this were a modern PC program, we'd call a bug like this a "arbitrary code execution exploit". There are videos like this for Super Mario World and Pokemon Yellow as well; for Super Mario World, they used the security hole to actually run two new mini-games on the

Isn't it great how FF6's 20th anniversary was announced on Kotaku, and Katamari's 10th similarly, but Super Metroid's 20th passed by (March 19, 2014) during GDC with nobody noticing?

There is a free program out there on Cydia that cracks most of these lockouts. I fully expect it to be updated to support Deus Ex.

She was the UI lead behind Metro in Windows 8. Just what the Xbone needs...

Build is all about the Metro crap they're peddling. Metro is such a severely-limiting programming interface that big developers don't want to bother with it. You're not likely to see big PC developers making AAA games for Metro rather than the desktop anytime soon.

I wish Final Fantasy games would let you choose the gender of the main character like many other RPGs.

The European SNES looks almost exactly like the Japanese Super Famicom. It even has the same 4-color logo. Really, the only visual differences are the logo and the shape of the cartridge slot.

I really hope that this is not an extortion attempt against CCP. Sometimes, hacker groups will extort companies by keeping their company offline until they pay the extortion money. It happens all too often.

Even late-model PS3s can run PS1 games, even though the PS3 is not MIPS.

That's not confusing at all... >.<

May the way of the Hero lead to the Triforce.

I wish Nintendo had not changed the name when they released the original here. "Triforce of the Gods" is a much better subtitle than "A Link to the Past".

Yes, they fixed that exploit, but they did not fix disassembling the game and patching it using hacking tools. This kind of event is always possible to cheat, since the game isn't server-side.

Ninja Gaiden Trilogy on SNES was bad. The music rendition sucked, and some dumbass decided to reverse the jump and attack buttons, making it hard to play for anyone used to the paradigm established by Mario, Contra, Metroid and others.

I'm also like that - I just felt like the game was in god mode without Insanity mode. There were very few parts of the game where it actually got hard beyond one or two retries. Insanity preserved game mechanics, like having to actually pay attention to cover.

You can actually finish the game with no party members if you play through all 3 games with this as your goal. It's quite funny in the ending because Shepard's nametag floats up to the memorial wall because no model is loaded to hold it.

Only 4% beat Insanity difficulty? I find that kind of strange. ME3's difficulty just didn't feel right to me unless I played on Insanity. The game felt way easier than ME1 or ME2. I am not someone who plays games with shooter gameplay often.

The PC version always had this ability. The PS3 version didn't have ME1 at first, so it could only carry from ME2 to ME3. However, with the subsequent rerelease of the whole trilogy, PS3 got ME1 and the ability to import into ME2.

Time to update my jailbreak to newest firmware...

Well, since our pleas to Congress on similar matters have been ignored, why not try this route, too? (I voted against the incumbent Republican in my district in November.)
