The little guy probably just has gas.

@duck_duck: I believe the 'Yoko Effect' is a certified dramatic technique. See the relevant Buffy episode for more information...

Hilarious, particularly the Star Trek references. I now want to go and write one for men....

Lavinia! I forgot about that film, it made me, my mother and my best friend weep buckets at my 9th birthday film outing.

I take no issue with people breaking the law (drinking underage, serving/buying for people who are underage) and being punished for it, which I imagine is what happened here. If underage people got roofied from drinking from a bottle they knew to contain alcohol, then they should be reprimanded for underage drinking.

So true - my mother (57) is currently juggling me (21) and my brother (24) living at home, my father (also 57) being semi-retired and her mother (91) being old and frail and vulnerable, but not enough that social services will chip in to pay for her to go into a decent home. She has 2 older brothers, but one has

@Katxyz: I love how the 'Daddy Doll' look so fucking smug that you want to burn his little feet off.

I believe the first clip said it all for TLC, where, as the couple discussed the implications of jealousy within their polygamous marriage, an ad popped up for 'The 8-Limbed Boy'.

She isn't a dead ringer, but I don't think that's the crucial thing in biopics - I think she captures the dreamy, not-quite-present quality of Marilyn quite well.

Does anyone have any advice for someone who works in a airless office with just aircon and central heating and no fresh air? We can't open the windows and I'm certain it's exacerbated (sp?) my acne, which has been very low level ever since I realised it was my hormones and went on the pill.

I would highly recommend the chapter on beauty treatments (typically 'anti-aging' products) in the book 'Bad Science' by Ben Goldacre (a UK science journalist).

Sexy little bride? Wtf? This is a male fantasy? I don't subscribe to the 'men need to be trapped into marriage and detest the idea of being a husband' stereotype, but how often does a wedding make you think of your sexiest fantasies?

Let's hope the driving guy wasn't reading 'Driving for Idiots'.

Wtf? The tables are turning? So it's a good thing that women can objectify men just as well as men objectify women? Making men and women equal is not about lowering the bar so we're as idiotic as each other.

My boyfriend grew up in the south west of England, near Bristol, where dogging sites are very de rigueur. He and his friends used to drive into sites to watch, laugh and eat Wotsits, until one day a man tapped on their window and asked if they were having an orgy. They left rather quickly after that.

Hmm. So, freedom of religion is important, but not the freedom to have equal opportunity employment. How quaint.

It's rather lovely that a women inspired another women to feel good about herself - I find there is too much focus in mainstream media and culture on a man making a women feel good about herself ('You make me feel beautiful' is more often said within a heterosexual couple, than from one woman to another) and this is

Very true. Worse, sometimes, than the male creep, is the way some men decide to hide their desires under a sheen of manipulativeness and charm - rather than just say 'I would like to sleep with you, but not have a relationship with you' (a perspective which also subscribes to the stereotype of women being warm, fuzzy

I'm willing to bet they just asked some people 'Do you think the umbilical cord is a musical note?' and the ones that didn't know what it actually was just went 'Yes! Of course!'. I doubt anyone really thinks that.

THIS is NEWS?!
