My wife would like to correct me on two things:

I’m here to win medals and get laid, and it looks like they’re all out of medals.

I think it’s because FTM were raised as girls in their formative stages. We learn not to centre ourselves, make due and get along. MTF come with the “me first or Hulk smash” little boys learn from day 1. When the mtf is white, you have that extra component of entitlement.

A powerful and devastating story that deserved a much better writer than Maureen Dowd. I kept losing track at some points, I thought maybe it was just me. What a structural mess.

Andi Dier was trolling an obviously emotionally fragile woman. I’m not sure why Mortal Dictata and others feel the need to reward her behavior by treating her like it was some brave speaking truth to power moment. It’s just manipulative, messy, and sad.

Hmm. There’s a lot about how McGowan is approaching this entire thing (Weinstein, her book, her show) that I would do differently. There’s a lot of anger there and a lot of overly-emotional stream of consciousness bilge. She tends to lash out in a super reactionary way to anyone she senses is attacking her, whether

Definitely line up something else. Those ‘airing of grievance’ type meetings always worry me, I don’t always trust the motivations behind them. I hope you find something in a better environment - we spend so much time at work and life’s so much more pleasant when you enjoy the company of your co-workers, the work

I’d go with Scotland or your kitchen. I’ve had my dog for 11 years now - I got him when I was a poor graduate student. I love the little guy, but he’s a money pit. He has food allergies, so any scrap that falls on the floor is a $300 vet visit. He also started developing bladder issues that eventually led to having

I would say depends on how often you get to see all of those friends in one place. If it’s rare, make that happen first.

Come to Scotland but skip Edinburgh aside from mebbe a wee jaunt to something at the festival. There are no Scottish people left in Edinburgh, having largely been displaced by tourists, international students on the equivalent of their gahp yah, and hopeful touring comedy troupes.

Late arrival here—but if you’ve already focused on a specific dog, you don’t really have a choice here. He will find a way to get you if you don’t bring him home because he’s already “yours” in your mind.

omg, I’ve been watching Stevie on ECPR’s website for a few months now! I’ve got doggy fever so bad, but my partner and I have agreed we’re about a year out from being responsible enough for a dog (money, time, etc...). I vote dog, because look at him! He needs a happy, kind home.

Dog. A dog will vastly improve your quality of life. All the other needs will fall into place b/c of your happiness and improved health with the dog. I love living with a dog and volunteer as a dog walker for a shelter. My first dog , we adopted when I was 39. I couldn’t believe how much better life was with that

That’s a tiny dog. You can afford a tiny dog; they don’t eat much. Do the trip and get the dog. Then wait 2 years for the kitchen remodel.

Stevie is super sweet. If you get him, bring him down to Portland and I’ll watch him while you’re in Old Scotia. (I absolutely loved Edinburgh when I visited. As in, I was ready to move there!)

Scotland. As others said, it’s way harder to travel with a dog at home.

That’s Daisy. She was a stray and I kept placing her but she came back 7 times because she’d scoot out doors and take off. I discovered accidently that she could run miles and miles like a dog running robot and now she’s fine. The exercise while slightly excessive takes the edge off her anxiety and she’s a doll. She

As much as I love the idea of a Scotland trip with good friends, either the dog or the kitchen sound like better long term, ongoing contributions to your happiness and general mental health :)

Whaaaat a cutie!
