That is the very picture of a man who is thinking deep thoughts about his recent life decisions.

I took a Doc Martens in the face from one of them skinheads, at a punk concert, back in my day.
My apologies. I posted before I realized this was another boring troll.
I get my hackles up when feminists declare all men to be bad. Does that count for anything? Is it possible to look for a common ground at all?
Sure. I don’t need to be part of the conversation, of course. As a feminist, I have told plenty of well-meaning men that their input was not required.
Je suis paaaaaaaaartout chez moi!
Holy crap. Take it down a notch or 5.
I’m sorry your handsome boy is sick :( That sucks.
I’ve literally never seen anything so sweet and hilarious. I’m not sure I can stop myself from getting me one of those. Blast this budget and being responsible! Dear god in heaven this is awesome.
Hey, thank you for this. I felt the same way and I didn’t know how to express it without sounding all #notallwhitepeople.
I’m aware of it. As I mentioned in another post, I am a bit of a history nerd, and I have read many, many, many history books on medieval England and the Tudors. Historical fiction is hard for me because I feel like the “real” story is alway better and more interesting.
Oh wow. I didn’t know Sylvia Townsend Warner. I just looked her up. It seems just up my alley - I’m a huge history nerd! I think I’ll order The Corner That Held Them. Or should I get The Flint Anchor as well? The reviews say it’s funny - I’m not in a funny mood. But I take it to mean it’s witty and clever, not, like,…
OOoooh. The Stand is so good! I read The Shining at least once a year. I love him but I can’t quite get behind anything after Bag of Bones.
Chéri is I think her most famous book. It’s very good. My favorite (if you make me pick one) would be La Vagabonde. Be forewarned tho, she is *very* turn-of-the-century French. But if you’re into that kinda thing, you’ll get a kick out of her life story as well, Judith Thurman (Secrets of the Flesh: A Life of Colette)…
I just bought Jane Eyre. I read it when I was a teenager and I’m excited to rediscover it so many years later.
Thanks for posting this.
Yes, of course. But there is no such thing as karma. Toxic people don’t alway get their comeuppance. They often die in their own bed, rich with years and possessions. The trick is to live a sane life, navigating around them.
Gawds! That is a lovely song. Thanks for sharing!
For what it’s worth, my career didn’t really take off until I was 40.
First, I’m sorry this happened to you.
