Ditto - I’ve mostly assumed the live action versions will crush my childhood and thus are terrible but this.... this I would see.

Excuse me, I should have said PERSONALLY pro-life. I still argue that I think that is a decent line in the sand to draw, and yes, one most Democrats understand.
This I understand and I do wish the DNC would draw the line in the sand on it though. Like Tim Kaine? Joe Biden? Both are Catholic and this pro-life but neither advocate for that to be a policy position. And if I was in Nebraska, I could vote for that. I could live with that.
Yuuuuup I was very ready to donate consistently to the DCCC in prep for 2018 - no longer thankyouverymuch. I will be researching and supporting the candidates that appear worthy of my dollars.
It was some kind of gorgeous. And I didn’t even get that it was the company owner that donated to HRC but one of the members on the approval board who approved the deal. So even LESS of a connection.
Of course - I’m not personally religious but I know several people who are, or at the very least, spiritual and practicing, and the idea that they are diminished somehow by that is utter garbage.
After having a kid, I’ve seriously considered it - primarily for the built in community and seeing as my friends are all single and childless save one, it would be nice to have a bunch of moms to socialize with regularly that doesn’t require me being a SAHM. But the only religion practices I’ve considered is Judaism -…
Because they don’t actually read the Bible - they let their preachers do it for them. And in that scenario, yes ABoyNamedSue has a very legit and valid point.
Judaism is the cultural history of Jews, which also encompasses a belief system. Whether the Old and New Testament is historically accurate is debatable at best but that’s not what I am getting at - there is value for some in belief in a higher power and texts written to define that higher power also have value. How…
A. I don’t go to church.
And yet... people crave community and church can bring that - it’s abundantly clear that this is what the writer was looking for. It isn’t all “where am I going to go when I’m dead” and “how do I personally bring the second coming of Christ and impose my morals on others.” It’s history, cultural experience, community…
I wonder - has anyone actually seen Bliss that comments on this site? The tone of this seems very “shitting on something because we can” - I’m saying as someone who has actually seen her - and not at Burning Man mind you, but in a normal rather suburban setting - she’s pretty damn stunning.
Exactly! And I don’t understand how it’s anything to be ashamed of. She hired a firm to continue work that was valuable to her aims. It wasn’t illegal. She didn’t engage MI6 to do this work, she engaged a US firm who hired an ex British operative.
Am I the only one that missed that Dem operatives were denying that they paid for what was eventually the Russian dossier? Every single account I have read discusses how this began as oppo research from the RNC and when Trump became the candidate, the DNC picked up where they left off. Which seems completely fucking…
I feel like at this point, she gets letters simply to get a ton of advice from the comments - the comments are always way more spot on than Jane.
Ding ding motherfucking ding
Yeah I’m not looking forward to keeping my 1 year old inside all weekend but there are DEFINITELY worse things.
Completely.
I also don’t mean to be flippant. Good luck. My biggest concern has always been that it gets to Petaluma. That’s my home town and it has grown on me as I’ve spent more time in the City.
