I'm talking about the PS1 EMULATOR, not the CFW itself. Along with the regular security updates and such, Sony also updated the emulator so it'd work with the games they were releasing for download. And in some cases, that messed up compatibility for games that weren't "officially" supported by the PS1 emulator. The

Now if the next firmware update adds the ability to put the L2/R2 buttons on the front touchscreen rather than the back touchscreen (or at least just disable it), I'll be a much happier camper. I'd like to be able to not worry about where I rest my fingers on the back of the Vita, thank you very much.

I dunno... The Vita's screen is just big enough that it works well for that, I think. The small screen makes the resolution less iffy, and makes the more stylized games look better.

As Riccardo Stone points out, it was never made available as a downloadable game. Soooo nope. Could be that the Vita's PSP emulator works okay for it if you play the ISO, but then you get into the whole grey area of firmware hacking, even if you do own the UMD... And since my PSP is CFW, I'm keeping my Vita untouched

Keep in mind that the better PS1 emulator for the PSP was actually made by Sony themselves, when THEY added PS1 support... The hackers just unlocked it so it'd play games besides the officially downloaded ones. From what I know, the games that are downloadable through PSN are really just regular PS1 ISOs with nothing

Oh, and if anyone's wondering why the controls are doing weird stuff in certain PS1 games, it's because they've defaulted to making the back touchpad function as L2 and R2 (depending on which side you tap/hold). Does anyone have a comfortable way to hold the Vita without touching the back constantly, while also being

In most cases you'd be right. In this case? It's a matter of two different tapping inputs (one for the left side of the screen, one for the right side) and a way to switch between the different lines. Easily done with a sweeping motion, scrolling wheel, or simply icons at the bottom to tap. This is one of the games

Late reply, but in my experience the search experience was incredibly clunky when you started adding settings. From what I remember, the "quick search" that matches you up regardless includes shortcut people, whereas you have to go through manual searches (and all the "couldn't connect, please try again" that leads

I played the game for 70 hours. I'd say that's worth 20 bucks. If I hadn't already played the game, that is.

Arrival DID work well, even if it annoyingly took away a really huge decision from you. The one decision I would've liked to have to make in it. But yeah... It's basically set between 2 and 3.

Only really worth it if you can't find the brighter-screen GBA SP anywhere at all. The DS Fat's screen was always a bit bleh. A bit more worth it if you can pull off the same trick with a DS Lite.

But what if I wanna gain Renegade levels?

For me it was SMB2 Luigi jumping from lamp post to lamp post to fence post to fence post, etc, flailing his little legs through the whole car ride.

SSF4 3D is even less interesting to fighting game enthusiasts since the release of Arcade Edition for the console/PC versions last summer. So SSF4 on the 3DS, which was a decent showcase for the system back when it was released and an okay port of SSF4, is now both slower and outdated.

I've got Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword, and I've made several attempts to get into it. I just can't. I have no trouble playing it, but I don't enjoy it. It has moments of "okay, that was pretty fun", but the rest of the time I'm just meh-ing my way through enemy fights and managing to do, but taking no pleasure in doing

The lack of a "true" world map was sorta one of Dragon Quest VIII's selling points. When you ventured out into the world, you ventured out into the wide, sprawling, properly scaled world. You saw everything from ground level, but it didn't feel any smaller for it. It was a world to get lost in.

What I have on my Vita... Best version of Lumines, Gravity Rush, portable fully-functional Marvel VS Capcom 2, Motorstorm RC, Mutant Blobs Attack. Also better-controlled PSP games on a bigger screen... I picked up LocoRoco 2 and Half-Minute Hero on the cheap, both good games that look great on the bigger screen.

For those who already have a Vita, this is a nice bonus. I've got plenty of Vita-only (and PSP-on-Vita) stuff to play on it, but during the Summer Sale going on on PSN, I also bought a buncha old PS1 games for cheap, precisely because I knew I'd be able to play them on the go.

Having first played through Demon's Souls, that moment in Dark Souls had me more scared than anything else in the game. Mainly because I couldn't find the bastard. I'm ashamed to say that that's one of two or three instances in the game where I turned to a guide for help. And in this case, I immediately facepalmed at

Because literally any species can couple with Asari. They're hot to everyone, whether they're mental space jellyfish or humpy lizard things with a penchant for headbutting.
