So the first Professor Layton movie, The Eternal Diva, is pretty ace. Got the combo DVD/Blu-Ray pack (though my US PS3 can't play European Blu-Rays, my European PS2 did the trick for the DVD). It's pretty much what you'd imagine a Layton movie to be: Same kinda story, the professor's wit gets him through stuff more

@TrentUGA: Because Americans can't handle a motorcycle to the head and they need umbrellas when it's raining?

Rose-tinted specs. There was just as much crap before. This counts for music, movies, video games, books, everything.

@Andrew Wyatt: So, look here, when I attach this Controllinator to the fluffy bunny, see? Like this? Now I can tell him to hop! Hoppity hoppity hop. And when I DON'T want him to hop, I just... Just... BEWEGEN SIE NICHT!

Not too hard to spot, actually. I could tell most of the shots just from the thumbnails: There's something slightly off about the shading on the cars compared to the real shots, and the backgrounds don't look quite real. The only thumbnail that fooled me was the daylight shot, and that, too, was apparent (though

@martinf1: Three words: Super Mario Musou.

@Maikeru03: Ohmaigaawsh! It'sh Ravoyva Oshawott!

@MrGone1980: The people who actually buy the game get to play it without any hassle whatsoever.

@merc-ai: We'll be better prepared for scurvy if we all eat an orange...

@Himiko: I'm no expert, but I think there's a difference between capturing and recognizing in real time. The camera does capture a fairly accurate surface area of what it sees, but it might take more processing power than it's got handy to "know" that it's looking at fingers and recognize what they're doing.

@Slagathorian: Save the trees and kill the children.: Because the 15-dollar webcam doesn't make a 3D image of you. It captures a flat area... The video you get out of it is what you generally consider a movie: 2D pictures strung together. The Kinect sees you from different angles, and so it can be used to, as here,

@DarkSolstice: Crudux Cruo: Yes, and Yes. If one has a DS, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story are both way better than Super Mario RPG, but SMRPG is still good fun. Secret of Mana is unmissable, though.

@GiantBoyDetective: You could "cheat" like that in the Wii version too, by building with two Wiimotes.

@freedomweasel: Well, there's a Sonic Collection (for the GameCube/PS2, I think), and there's a Genesis Collection. The Genesis Collection includes something like 40-50 games, so go for that.

@Coigleach: hey've mastered the battle system, the graphics are the best in the series so far, the characters are awesome. The only downsides to it are that the card game (which they improved for FF9) doesn't have any effect on the main game whatsoever, and that the minigame that has the MOST effect on the main game

@RealmRPGer: But I wuv Spike-arm Wagon Sphinx!

@freedomweasel: The Phantasy Star series is fairly non-stereotypical for a JRPG. On the PS3, it's part of the Sega Genesis Ultimate Collection (Mega Drive Ultimate Collection if you're in Europe). Get that, play Phantasy Star 4, and be fairly happy.

Found Vanquish for cheap on a one-day sale at Play.com. Of course, I had to get it.
