I think this is an unnecessarily complicated solution to a problem that didn't exist. Bianchi's accident was a freak occurrence, and while some things should be changed (adding skirts to recovery vehicles, trying to keep said vehicles behind walls if possible, etc) this isn't one of them.

Let's go, meange-a!

That looks like a Gremlin on steroids!

Now playing

Folks, THIS is how you sing God Bless America

I don't want it to be super powerful. The same reasons I haven't gone force induction with my car, I just need some power to get out of the corners properly.

It's like talking to a brick wall. I've addressed all your points already. The officers don't know it's a domesticated animal since it's off a leash, it's a campsite so they could be wild animals, they're large animals so they pose a threat, and since they threatened the officers, they defended themselves. I'd love to

I never found it to be a good Halo car, because for me, the halo cars are about showing the public your company isn't quite what they think. Ford's GT got people thinking about Ford perfomance instead of Ford blandness and Firestone.

You're blaming everything here on the cops like most ignorant people on Gawker sites these days. You're following the bad cops mentality, like everything that ever happens is the cops fault. They "broke their rules" because the dogs owners were breaking the laws and had their large dogs roaming around unleashed.

There is just no arguing with all you "screw the police, they're all bad" mentality people. I don't care if you've got family in it or not, you come across as one of those people. I don't blame any officer at any point that takes action when they feel threatened. It's a difficult and exhausting mentally job that

If you ever get the chance to ride in a convertible at night, try tilting the seat back and focus on the stars while you're moving. It freaks me the hell out for what I'm sure are the same reasons you don't like flying.

Perhaps they should make the system into an Oculus Rift sort of thing, where the people that want it have it, and those who don't can avoid it.

1. The officers don't know it's a pet. It's not on a leash, it's the middle of nowhere, without the owners around, it could have been a wild dog or a wolf. It's a large dog, that's all they know.

If wildlife is such a threat, how can you possibly not understand that the officers would have been scared by animals that were roaming around without a leash? 30 feet is a pretty decent ways, and what are the cops supposed to do, go around yelling "Hey everyone, cops walking, put away anything you're not supposed to

Agreed. I wanted so much to like it, but it was awful. The acting was bad, the casting was so so, the story was meh, and the cinematography was terrible at best. The only redeeming quality to the movie was the noise that Chevy made, and it was sparse through the film. It's the only car movie I've ever seen that I

Yes, because a life threatened should be trumped by protocol everytime. If you want to spout that nonsense, then the author of the article is totally at fault for the whole thing by not following protocol and having his and his friends dogs unleashed.

Absolutely agree. The whole "black enough" issue is enormously wide spread, and the root of so many problems in the African American communities. Kids that have incredible potential fall victim to that harassment all the time, and never achieve the things they could have.

Your experience with the animals means you have no idea how to think from the officers point of view. They don't know what they're looking for in dog behavior (and may not have even been able to see the dogs), all they hear is growling. Therefore my point still stands. End of story.

This is not the same as speeding. It just isn't. You've got a large dog off the leash in the pitch black. The cops don't know the dogs, don't know the dog's intentions, and the dog's owners were breaking the law. Plain and simple. Dogs (however domesticated they may be) are still wild animals and their intentions are

OP is absolutely correct. Place your self in the cops position. It's dark, you're on patrol, you hear a pair of big growling dogs somewhere close. It may be an overreaction to draw a weapon, but it's not a total overreaction either. Just like with hostile people, the LEO's don't have the slightest idea of what the

Inflation gets you to 31,500. And 6 grand for suspension? You could get an entirely new suspension and then some for that. A set of coilovers and some control arms make the suspension quite great for a live axle car. For that matter, with 6 grand, you could swap in an IRS from a cobra, and still have plenty left over.
