Start with 1, or the PS2 remix of 1 entitled "Alter Code F." They're the best introduction to the world and the mythology that supports it. Once you understand the basic rules, legends and imagery of Filgaia, you can truly appreciate the way the other games in the series play with those stories. The truest joy of

The lack of support from Sony toward the WA franchise is, to use your phrasing, criminal. It's bizarre when you consider that it is Sony published franchise. It was always meant to be Sony's Final Fantasy. We wouldn't have even gotten 4 and 5 if not for the good folks as Xseed.

It was the same for me. I didn't get into turn based RPGs until the PS1 era, and Wild Arms was the game that did it.

Waiting for another WA game defines my entire relationship with the PS3. People forget that it's technically a Sony franchise. I'm not even sure what happened to Media Vision after XF though. I don't know if they still exist as a development house.

2 is sooooo good. When I was in grad school, I considered doing my thesis paper on Brad and his bizarre view of heroism.

The best part of 5 was the cameo appearances and the special costumes.

Alter Code F was fantastic. The translation is so much nicer than the original WA, and the story is fleshed out with greater detail. It's also amazing have Zed and Emma as party members.

Wow. Speakup twice in just afew weeks. Can I have a job?

I knew it. Alot of JRPG fans do. Most of us just aren't too excited about it, since we're not getting the DS version in the West.

I saw a fresh video for Ni No Kuni on another site the other day, and when the world map showed up after some FMV footage, I said to myself, "Mr. Scheier will be pleased."

My fondest memories Nintendo power comes from the days before the launch of Pokemon Red & Blue for the Gameboy. They sent out not only an issue that explained the incoming phenomenon known as Pokemon, but also sent along a VHS tape walking you through the world of the game and animated series, and hinting that toys

Sweet sassy molassey! Is that your collection?

I love that kit. I've thought about getting one of those for my WoC Prime, but those custom parts just get way too pricy for me. I'd rather just have another whole bot.

Thanks. I've very proud of it. That picture doesn't do the current collection any justice. I've since taken over 2 additional shelves.

You're right about the hands. Armada Unicron has fully posable fingers, so I like to put him in manacingly dramatic positions. The generations Wreck-Gar is BY FAR the best motorcycle Transformers toy ever released. He's the first one that works without making any rotten structural/visual compromises in his robot

I'm afraid I don't really have a good current picture of my Transformers collection. You can get a pretty good idea of how many bots I have floating around by looking at this picture though. It's about 2.5 years old, so you have to add about 30-40% more figures to what you see here in order to get an idea of what

They're my favorite group too. I actually got into Transformers because of an old VHS copy of the movie that I had when I was a kid. Then I went backwards and learned more about what happened before the movie. Arcee's "don't discount me because I'm pink" attitude, Kupp's stories, Ultra Magnus's stoic military

You are right, but I think it's clear that G1 is the structure that High Moon builds most heavily from. Besides, why would the studio spend so much time telling the story of the exodus to Earth, and Cybertron's Decepticon occupation if they weren't going to spend some time on Earth. The story of the first film is

That would require a MAJOR fastforward in the Transformers continuity. Although, it would be cool. Visually speaking, Cyclonus is my favorite Transformer. So badass.

That's definitely happening. If you browse the head options in the character builder in the demo, the models for the dinobot and insecticon heads are right there.
