Thanks. I may joke a bit, but I'd never bash my wife. If anything, she's forced me to re-examine my priorities and hobbies through fresh eyes, and that's helped me not only save buttloads of money, but also enjoy everything I do have far more. I used to be that guy who blew $200-minimum full-price games at launch.

Alternate depressing joke:

I'm not sure what the shovel is for though. Do I bury my wife with it, or my long-dead dreams?

Nah. I said that all on my own. I'm conditioned pretty well though, eh? If I behave enough, I usually get a treat.

If I get ONE toy from the new sets. It'll be that one. I have a soft spot for Shockwave. The redeco of him, Sixshot, from the Energon line is one of my favorite Transformers in my collection.

I'm going to divert my frustration in an unhealthy way, and just pretend to be angry with you for a while Fahey. When I got married, my wife said "you have to stop buying so much stuff, pick ONE hobby." Out of video games, and Transformers, I chose video games. Kotaku is supposed to make that decision easier . . .

Now playing

New Lands is my favorite track from Audio, Video, Disco. I'm prettymuch weeping right now.

Did you also try to time the words and sing it along with the tune that played? I know I did.

My Name is Gato

Cool. Thanks for the info. I don't actually have the game yet, but it'll probably be the first title I pick up when I grab a 3DS XL around Christmas time.

Is "Desperate Struggle" the battle theme from FFXIII? If so . . . DO WANT.

I live for this shit.

I've also heard tell of every launch copy coming with some sort of special case. I don't know if it's that fancy book-style case that was shown for a while or not though.

So how many times do they call the protagonist M. Bezzle in the game just to illicit a "so bad it's good" laugh from the player?

Couldn't agree more. One of my favorite aspects of Diablo 3 is how absolutely visceral it felt to play. That aspect was super necessary to anchor the player, as continuous mouse-clicking could otherwise cause a major disconnected feeling. The sound design was paramount to achieving that visceral feel. Kudos

Arkham suburb.

I'm excited for the new Superheroes sets. The toy store I work at on the weekends finally got the current sets in, and staring at them all day every Sunday is causing serious detriment to my mental health. The Wolverine set that comes with Deadpool and Magneto minifigs is the stuff of dreams. I can't wait to see

Oh man! Dino Riders were awesome. I only ever had one as a kid though. I remember my parents having something against them, like saying they were too expensive or something. I don't remember the details exactly. Anyways, I love this meme image because I don't think whoever made it knows what the picture is

The cartoon-toy cross promotional machine of the 1980s was the bane of my parents existence . . . but it's the stuff that fond memories are made off. I can still recite the opening lines of the Visionaries theme song from memory. Also, the opening song of the GI Joe movie is incredible.

Did I just read "Battle Beasts"? Like adorable little rubber cyborg animal figurines with heat-reveal stickers on their chests Battle Beasts? Like "I found half a dozen or so of them in a box in my attic and would give anything to still have their lil' weapons" Battle Beasts? I love those toys. Could I have more
