The Cleveland Clinic has a game machine in a Plexiglas box for kids wired to look for seizures. It was donated by the Cleveland Indians. My son loved playing Monkey Ball on it, so I got him that game for his Wii.

That's good to hear. I've only ever used an original Roku XD, and while it works great for actual watching, the user experience as a whole has been very slow and clunky; something that gets the job done, but barely. If this is faster/more responsive/better UI, I'll be a happy camper.

One good thing to remember — Evernote or a similar tool is great to document your DIY repairs like this — record the date of the repair, scan any receipts, and link any online instructions you used.
