That's good to hear. I've only ever used an original Roku XD, and while it works great for actual watching, the user experience as a whole has been very slow and clunky; something that gets the job done, but barely. If this is faster/more responsive/better UI, I'll be a happy camper.

One good thing to remember — Evernote or a similar tool is great to document your DIY repairs like this — record the date of the repair, scan any receipts, and link any online instructions you used. Very helpful if your repair didn't work, or you need to do it again some time down the road ...Especially if you want

Bad photo.. but I used them to mount my iPod touch for use as an alarm clock (and misc).

I had been looking into tackling a similar project (using 'motion' for my Pi) along with using a temperature sensor. I've gotten the 'motion' part working great, and really simple to use. Not much luck with the temp yet, still working on it...

Clearly Tomlin's missing the point, as he now only tweets using 53 characters.

I just bought a Raspberry Pi yesterday. Somehow lifehacker always knows

I picked this app up last night to try on my RPi running raspbmc and it worked great. Ended up paying $1.99 to unlock and I'm very happy with it.

Cylindrical dental floss containers make great thread cases when they're empty, and they have built in thread cutters.

Put thread spool inside container, pull one end of thread through hole in cap= no-tangle travel thread case! (you can also keep needles in there if the container is big enough)

I was sick of the way my garage looked so I cleaned it out and painted the walls. But the big DIY fix was painting the floor with a two part epoxy from Rustoleum. It was about six hours of work to do the floor - preparing the surface is key - and I was very pleased with the results and the envy of my neighbors (for

I have a Galaxy Note 10.1 and keep old micro SD cards around for when I let kids draw on the tablet. When they're done, I pop them out, slide the card in the adapter, and they can take them home to print or display.

The other thing you have to watch out for with ontrac is they'll load a van and then let it sit in their parking lot for a couple of days, especially over weekends when they don't deliver. Its about 100 degrees here in the summer, and I got lots and lots of food items that were basically cooked or melted due to

Doesn't matter whose fault it was. You pay Amazon for 2 day shipping and it's up to them to contract with delivery services that can meet that and cover the cost of upset customers when it doesn't.

Forgot to mention, for the streaming, since I have a PS3, I'm able to use the Amazon Video app, and watch it on my TV easily, so that helps make the case for me.

I mainly subscribed to Amazon Prime for the near-instant gratification of free 2 day shipping with every direct from Amazon purchase.

I also think it would have helped had they chosen four new characters, rather than trying to have four new actors play the same four characters from the movie.
