The Undiscovered Country is fantastic though

I know it’s not real, but the set-up for it feels like it would have been tone deaf decades ago.

I mean, the premise really is grotesque though, no matter how many times you want to say “it’s just a joke bro”, it’s still a shitty set up for a joke. 

There’s fun, following the cues and having a great time.

That and there’s an incredibly high chance that someone would just kill her if they found out in 80s America.

Not really - my mum loved the film, I watched it for the first time in the 80s, it remains a firm favourite that I go back to multiple times a year.
