More turnover in their legislature doesn’t make them more Democratic than us. Were those legislators elected by legitimate open and public elections? Honestly I don’t know the answer to that question. If they were, then great. If they weren’t, then that’s not Democracy or republicanism.

If you don’t have legit public elections, you’re not a Republic. A Republic is an elected representative government. Last I checked, North Korea, China, and the USSR don’t/didn’t have real elections. So, again, why are they using a system of government that they hate in their name?
