So a pocketbike and a kart equal rich privilege? Seriously? The kart that kid was in is probably less than $1000 all in, and the pocketbikes can be had for $300 new. I would hardly consider someone who can afford that to be a 1%er lol. Just because people have different spending priorities than you doesn’t make them

Idk man replacing the studs on my 1990 f150 is probably a good hour of labor at a shop. Huge pain in the ass that took me 4 hours in real life.

Yeah I mean there’s probably some blind brand loyalty there, but we like what we like I guess. I definitely only buy craftsmen screwdrivers and hammers. They’re still made in the USA and their feel in the hand is far superior IMO.

If the only reason for doing something is because that’s how it’s always been done, maybe we should look at changing how we do that something. The only reason dressing nice is about respect is because dressing nice has always been about respect. I think that words and actions are a far better way to convey respect

That’s why I only use craftsmen wrenches. Sure the quality isn’t what it used to be, but being able to take your broken wrench in and swap it out is still awesome, and I firmly believe craftsmen is still better than husky or kobalt.

Eh, not really. In the seedy parts of towns, wheels are great for junkies to get their next fix. Especially when you have people with 30" DUB edition spinners or whatever.

My breaker bar was a pipe on the end of a ratchet for years. Fuck it, mang.

They just wanted you to say okay so that they could replace your stud for no reason. Depending on the car, replacing a stud can be a decent amount of labor.

Yeah I mean I don’t actually own a jacket, assuming you’re talking about like a suit jacket or whatever. So if my girl wants to go to a fancy restaurant then I guess she’s going to have to buy me a jacket first lol.

Better to be over dressed than under dressed? Sure. But it’s best to not be judged on how you dress.

TIL that it’s considered creepy to be attracted to a girl who is literally at the best time in her life, physiologically speaking, to procreate, and thus is what evolution has forced me to be most attracted to. Makes a lot of sense. Maybe my viewpoint will change if I ever have a daughter, maybe not. But seriously

If I’m fighting for a client, I’m going to attempt to actually be better than the competition, and not worry about whether my shirt is more starched than the competition’s.

And I wouldn’t go to a restaurant with a dress code unless it was a work function. My t shirt wearing money spends just as well as your suit wearing money. People who judge others based on how they dress are pricks. I may think what someone is wearing looks stupid, but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and find

5th Gear: That’s actually great. The way I dress and the amount of money I spend on my wardrobe has literally no bearing on how well I do my job. Part of the reason I went into IT is that basically every job is business casual or below. When I work from home, I work in my pajamas. I do that because being dressed fancy

Did you just say you’re still making payments on an ‘03 Corolla?

Life doesn’t guarantee no accidents.

Oh I gotcha. Well I mean idk if your particular example was in bad shape or something. Worn rings or needing a top end rebuild could cause excessive smoke and poor fuel economy. I’ve never had a 2 stroke road bike, but I definitely know the dirt bikes like their top end rebuilds.

A 750ishcc 2-stroke that smokes and gets bad fuel economy? Nawwww lmao.

Bought a newish used luxury SUV for $11.5k and thinks it’s in great shape lmao we’ll see.
