I’m explaining the reason why the resale value is so different. Compare the KBB of an 05 F-150 and an 05 Expedition and you’ll see that they’re not so different. Compare the KBB value of an 05 F-250 and an 05 Excursion and you’ll see that they’re almost identical.

Basically you’re flying in an empty seat on a flight that’s different from the one you were supposed to be on, but you’re paying to make sure that no one else gets that empty seat. So lets say you have a plane that has 3 empty seats and 5 people trying to fly it on standby. If no one pays for confirmed standby then

You try waking up at 4 am after 3 solid days of driving. Or when you’re in high school. I’ve decided to stop taking trips (and doing pretty much anything) that require me to be up at 4 am.

This is why I like NASCAR races. Your parking location is determined only by how early you show up. Unless you’re camping/VIP/a driver/whatever. You show up to Richmond early enough and you can get free parking on a paved lot maybe 200 feet from the gates. Pure awesomeness.

Now, I’ll admit that I don’t have a lot of experience driving Mustangs, but my old landlord’s 2012 GT didn’t behave like that at all. I also think that if it were anywhere near as bad as you’re describing, it wouldn’t have sold for 5 decades.

$150 to park at a race track is insane. I was pissed about paying $10 to park off-premises at Martinsville last weekend. Yeah, and the F-250 is likely going to have the V10 or a powerstoke whereas the Expedition is going to have the 5.4l V8 at best.

The Expedition is basically the SUV equivalent of the F-150. It’s an apples-to-oranges comparison.

Ford made the Excursion which was basically an F-250 without the bed. Available V10 gas engine or 7.2 (and I believe 6.0) diesel for towing. They don’t make it anymore though, and I’m not sure if Chevy or Dodge ever offered something similar.

I’ve missed my last two flights due to oversleeping. Both of them had multiple connections. The airlines got me where I needed to go the same day on standby for no extra charge. That’s a stupid way to alienate customers for such an enormous company. Storage is so cheap these days that it might as well be free. I highly doubt that the probably tiny number of users using in excess of 1TB were undercutting profits from people only using a few GB.

Logano’s season isn’t over because there’s still two more races in this round. Everyone, including myself, is just hoping he chokes over the next two weeks.
