I agree with ontheheel. With antennas, longer isn't necessarily better, particularly if the antenna is properly tuned to the frequency for which it was designed. You might get better performance if you figured out the proper length for the antenna and created a new one that was stretched out (loop antennas are lossy).

Apparently I'm an idiot because I can't get the scan thing to work. I bring it up and try to take a picture of the document, but all that happens is the image stops on the screen. I'm on an EVO. Could that be the problem? Since it has a different camera software than the stock Android apps? I notice the interface
