If I were a black man, I don’t know how I would get through a day without losing my shit multiple times a day.  Honestly, I would live in a continual state of rage.  (And I fully realize this is not a “woke” comment, and others have said it often and better.  I remain continually amazed at the restraint shown by

What in the ever-loving fuck?  An adult assaults a 13-year-old and the cops are like “whatevs.”  Holy fuck.  I hope this family sues the ever-loving shit out of this asshole and the Pittsburgh PD.  And I say this as a defense attorney.

Thanks for the information!  I am kind of not really in her demographic (50-year-old white guy), but have always enjoyed her music, maybe a guilty pleasure type thing initially.  But she has shown, obviously, tremendous range and growth over the years to become a legitimate force in the music industry.  Then I was

Fuck yeah, America, fuck yeah!

I couldn’t be any more jaded or cynical, but Gaga sure seems like a really good person (and obviously breath-takingly talented).  I sure hope she is and we don’t hear how awful she really is any time soon, or ever actually.

I hope the US wins, Rapinoe takes the mic, and tells Trump to fuck right off, followed by raucous applause from the entire US team.  She has more balls than just about anyone I can think of.  Kudos to her.

“No longer a tool-wielding animal.”  Perhaps the perfect description.

As others have all pointed out in the thread you started, future looks bleak indeed.  His supporters are violently and ignorantly opposed to basic principles of democracy, and there is no reaching them or bringing them back.  They are well past the bend, and I have yet to hear a supportable plan to bring them back.

Damn, totally sucks. Japan was fun as hell to watch. By far the most enjoyable team to watch in my opinion. Their ball handling and precision was spectacular; their finishing was a bit less than that unfortunately.

My uneducated viewpoint:

?  By definition, it isn’t their fight.  They have issued a statement in support of the USWNT, but aren’t a party to the action.  Not a provocative statement, but a statement of actual facts.

Whoa.  Kind of pops this balloon, eh?

Yeah, pretty weak article.  I am 100,000,000% behind the USWNT and believe pay equality must happen, but these players didn’t create the system, I don’t believe have an actual (i.e. voting) say in what is done, and are legally mere employees.  Their “lack of comment” doesn’t necessarily infer that they support this

As a Jazz season ticket holder, I am all for this.  I did like Crowder, but otherwise the Jazz gave up...nothing(?) for an immediate upgrade at the position of most pressing need.  Gobert, Mitchell and Conley in the all-of-a-sudden wide open West is interesting.

But he’s just so fucking talented!

He’s really filling out his resume to be GOP nominee for president, 2024.

Press hit an absolute rocket on a volley that Endler swooped in and knocked away.  Really, really incredible performance on her part.

An older Lebron and a not-so-durable Davis are going to be logging what, 38 minutes a night at a minimum?  Even if they add another top-line player, they have nothing else.  Maybe it’s enough, maybe it isn’t, but if they don’t win in next two years, they are toast for the next five, aren’t they?

I’m a 49-year-old white dude lawyer living in fuckin’ Utah. And, yet, I think I am much, MUCH cooler than Drake. Make of that what you will.

Goddammit, I loved it.  That’s great hustle, even if that sweet missive has been percolating for years.
