You know for the past two generations the two lowest spec systems sold the most numbers. The PS2 (yes, it was the weakest hardware) and the Wii.

At the very least they've already linked the 3DS profile to the Club Nintendo Profiles and they're supposed to unify that with the WiiU as well so it's possible they could transfer their old Wii stuff across that way as well... if they feel like putting in the effort. I thought I read the old Wii VC stuff was

While it kind of sucks it isn't GC backwards compatible it's understandable and I can live with it. The bigger issue I have is that they won't upscale the Wii games to 1080p. That's a massive missed opportunity especially considering how gorgeous the games look on the Dolphin Emulator. It would breathe new life

Nintendo has always stated they were going to support external hard drives and it would be easier/cheaper for the consumer to buy the space they wanted/needed that way. Which is honestly quite true (and it shaves off cost from the final bundle for them) as long as the access isn't slow/broken.

That 32 gigs is a Solid State Hard Drive.

I can't say whether it's a good idea or not but I like the fact it sounds like Microsoft are trying something different. I can respect that. I respect the Kinect even if it wasn't a great gaming device because they tried to introduce something new (and the tech is pretty cool even if it isn't gaming centric.)

And everyone balked at, was it Miyamoto(?), who said that all of these $1 apps were cheapening gaming. Your wife just vocalized what Nintendo warned would happen to the mentality of the masses.

Who is to say, now that the latest features have been updated/put into Madden 13 that after hearing the outcry about this feature they will re-implement it in a better way in the next iteration now that the basic technological updates have been made to this edition?

Really? As far as I've heard they're not too favorable towards Americans anymore either.

I think the movie would have been better served with these scenes included.

I can't pretend to know what this Hutchinson guy meant to say but his comment leaves a lot to the imagination. My take is he never said that easy mode was bad. He did say if your game is designed to be cover-based an you never have to use it on certain settings then your mechanics are broken. And I could see that

Except Mode 7 was an actual thing that could be used and the effect could be pointed to on screen. Blast Processing was, as far as I can tell, just marketing nonsense.

The game is okay. I find the hand-to-hand extremely tedious. For a guy who is so damned unhinged/extreme in his methods you'd think he could break a jaw/joint/neck a hell of a lot faster then the ridiculous amount of pounding/beating it takes to knock guys out.

Sorry man, Harmony Gold holds the rights to Macross in the rest of the world and they've got their bastardized Robotech brand they're holding onto with an iron fist. Anything Macross stays in Japan unless you can find a way to import it.

Well for $15 you get 25 new tracks for Rock Band plus another little game you might enjoy for a little bit.

My experience has been completely the opposite. I never want to play MK7 again, ever.

You're right. As a matter of fact I wasn't a fan of the original DS version at all and only moderately enjoyed the Wii iteration even though it felt pretty soulless. This new one has been a blast so far. So much better then the last two offerings. And all of the reviewers have been saying the coin collecting

"Sandler, Carvey, Farley, Nealon and Spade were on the show, everyone talked about how much worse it was than back when better people were doing it."

I used to play my DS at work during lunch... when I had a job that allowed such devices. But I still use my 3DS on the couch when I don't want to feel like a complete anti-social person and hide in another room with my games.
