This is dead on the best post-election take. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Yeah, how dare he go into shock after having boiling water poured over his head. Sounds like this woman is definitely ready for motherhood.

Incorrect. People who decided their vote within the last week before election night were more likely to break for Trump than Clinton by 12 pt margin. There was definitely some effect.

The thing is people didn’t necessarily lie. Many polls had a sizable “don’t want to say” response. Apparently, I’m more of a fucking Pollyanna than I thought, because I had assumed (hoped?) most of that was conservative women planning to reluctantly vote for Clinton over an open misogynist. Instead it was mostly

Sorry, but fuck your father. My dad also is “conservative who believes in small[er] government.” Guess what he did Tuesday in VA? He voted for Clinton. Because he doesn’t hold his personal economic philosophy in higher regard than the humanity and dignity of women, minorities, immigrants and disabled people.

There are people out there who voted for Trump solely on the idea of getting rid of corruption in government, or for trade issues, etc. I happen to believe they were misled, but they had a right to vote for the candidate they felt would be best for this country.

My general impression is he’s always speaking out of both sides of his mouth and is lacking self awareness. For the brief time I followed him today he was both expressing grief & surprise at the democratic defeat, defending his Stein vote and defending his prior tweets against Hillary/in favor of Stein all within like

I forgot why I unfollowed him and temporarily re-followed him last night to this morning. I quickly remember why I don’t like him... 😒

Jesus-fucking-Christ, thank you. The misuse of “dynasty” is driving me nuts in this election. When Chelsea runs for Congress, I’ll be ready to hear about the “Clinton dynasty.” Until then, the Clintons are at most a power couple.

I think in general Wall Street hedging in this sort of scenario should be expected to be on the more conservative end. The upside scenario (i.e., Clinton) is basically that the market stays where it’s been the last ~1yr under Obama, so really less of an upside and more a steady state. The downside scenario (i.e.,

I mean, I asked for your source mostly because I was curious if I had missed a Census data release. Also, FYI this “report” you are referencing is not a well designed survey:

Where are you getting that median rent for a 1 bedroom apartment figure from? I know the Census’ ACS tracks median gross residential rent payments, but the latest estimate I saw from that survey was below $1,000/month (and that figure doesn’t weight by a specific # of bedrooms).

Yeah, he seems like a weird player to hate on. I guess Zobrist is super Christian, which could be vaguely annoying if he were the judgmental kind, but I haven’t heard anything about him being holier-than-thou with anyone.

I mean... it’s the actual definition of the word. People believing meritocracy is some achievable, idealistic system is how we ended up with IQ and standardized testing, which have not exactly advanced equality.

I mean yes, I generally agree with your point as I believe you intended it, hence my “pedantic rant” disclosure. However, meritocracy is pretty much by definition not “fair.” It’s a system by which quantifiable measures of intelligence or ability are used to determine success. The problem with the idea of

Excuse my pedantic rant, but: no one actually wants to live in an actual meritocracy.* Meritocracy =!= equality.

Eh, you can get vegetable dye off skin with some baby oil and a loofah.* But yes, you would assume they’d throw on some gloves and a face mask for this sort of thing...

It’s vegetable-based dye, so you don’t technically need any protective gear.

I hate “not a true fan” dickery normally, but this is 100% real, so enjoy that star...

... which is why I specified “in the US.” I think we can all safely assume OP is American since they tried to double down on their stupid nonsense.
