Hot take, Linda.

In most (if not all) states, when you are on probation (side note: probation = conditional time period of restricted rights you do instead of going to jail / parole = early conditional release from prison) for alcohol or substance based crimes you are not allowed to consume alcohol.
Yeah, it was my understanding that in most jurisdictions a vehicle doesn't even need to be running for a DWI charge. So, the first ticketed incident should have been a DWI.
How old are you? Were you not alive when she was advocating a single payer system back in the mid-90s?
Yeah, pretty much as soon as they announced that the director was going to change between seasons, I had strong hunch the 2nd season would not be watchable.
That's because the 1st season wasn't actually that good from a plot point of view. The cinematography was great and the acting was good. But the dialogue and plot were solidly average or below average depending on the episode. The 2nd season had a different director and different actors, so it basically lost the only…
I don’t know what they taught you in Catholic school, but most non-fundamentalist sects of Protestantism (i.e. Lutherans, Presbyterians, Anglicans/Episcopalians and most Methodists) are down with the whole Abrahamic religions/one common god concept.
I don't feel like this comment is getting enough appreciation.
Did you watch the series?
Did you mean to reply to me?
I don’t think most people who watched the series think Steven Avery is an upstanding human. Dude obviously was a creep and had some boundary issues with women. That doesn’t mean I’m okay with him being convicted for a crime it’s unclear if he committed.
God, I hope your username is a weak troll attempt, because otherwise you’re not doing your chosen candidate any favors with this type of comment. There are many studies besides this one showing that men are more supportive of women's issues when they have daughters. Do you have some hot-take explanation for that…
From your other comments, it seems your issue is more with the study design of a lot of social science research and the use of statistics based on bad studies rather than statistics in general. That doesn’t really come across in your original comment. You’d probably get a lot less flack for that comment if you’d…
Someone has never heard of a p-value...
That’s the American spirit!
I think Steven and Brendan have approximately the same IQ. In the first episode regarding the false conviction they mention that he tested at a 70IQ in high school. That’s pretty much right on the borderline for being intellectually disabled on most tests.
Yeah, I’m at about 30/70 regarding whether Steven Avery did it or not, but I’m 100% sure that 1) if he did kill her the prosecution’s story of events is totally incorrect, 2) the police planted at least the key, and 3) Brendan was not involved.
(I know they couldn’t do that in trial but the filmmakers totally could have)
If we're using the general definition of drama (“an exciting, emotional, or unexpected series of events or set of circumstances”) I have a hard time seeing how Mad Max doesn’t meet that criteria.
One way Airbnb could try to combat this issue would be to do some actual data analysis of users and suspend accounts that appear to be discriminating. It’d be pretty easy to setup a system to monitor the accept/reject rate across various demographics by user/listing. In fact, they could go even simpler and require all…
