From 97 until that movie, vinyl and custom paint jobs were considered to be as cool as bell-bottoms in the 60's and 70's. They're gaudy as hell, but it was just another one of those phases. Luckily it ended... except for everyone that buys add-ons from Advance and Pep boys which makes their exhaust stick out enough…
