If it was a Nano, than the flames would probably be for real...
@mercury_marine: Too bad the fully lifted rear wing didn't offer enough downforce at the celestial speed of 25km/h that its douchebag driver managed to crash...
I simply fail to find the right words to describe the amounts of Fail experienced in some of these videos, as for example in #8. The poor BMW looked like it almost wanted to roll over from embarrasment... And also, what kind of moron lets an inexperienced driver drive a Cobra, only to watch the crash and yell "She…
It hurts my soul to think that these gems of engineering are now grounded and rotting away... It's a fucking shame
@13BD16: The SR-71A (the operational version of the Blackbird) was a two-seater, with the RSO cockpit being "flush" behind the pilot's. The SR-71B trainer aircraft had a raised rear cockpit with dual controls for the trainer, while the trainee sat in front. The A-12, the almost identical predecessor to the SR-71, was…
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and Subaru Imreza WRX STI (a little less frequent). The molestation usually starts with some sort of gigantic fart can exhaust, and it can spiral out to an inconceivable mess. It's a pity that it is almost impossible to find a stock EVO/STI.
This whole GM "winding the brand down, then magically save it at the last moment" saga is really starting to bore me... BTW, the car looks kind of cool... In its own demented, perverse, "WTF is that thing for??" way...
Somebody tell these BMW people, that this is no big news. The peak braking horsepower in most cars is approximately 10 times their maximum horsepower. But we are talking about the peak braking horsepower, which cannot be sustained during prolonged braking.
If it was an original RS500,maybe. But $25.000 is just too much for a tuned-up conversion job. Crack pipe.
Is there a big hole in the transmission tunnel, or am I seeing things? It is not supposed to be there, at least not until the gearbox explodes...
I would have to go with the 5 Series GT. Stupid, boring, unattractive, and almost deliberately pointless
@gotsmart: That's the magic of it. Carbon fiber and other composites make about 80% of the volume of the 787, but only about 50% of the mass. Metal is used mainly in the engines and other heat-critical areas. Metal accounts for only about 20% of the plane's volume, but for 50% of the mass. In other words, the 787…
Maybe it's an Xzibit kind of thing:
On the other hand, this could be the truck driver's message to those he overtakes
@FromaBuick6: Uhmmmm..... Yes. Quite clearly.
Choice #1: The BMW N54B30 twin turbo. The engine thats suits everywhere, and does anything.
@Bluecold:Of volcanic temperament but soothed by a custard pie balsam.: Turbo-ramjet hybrid. My kind of thing... :-)
Thumbs up for Mr. Smith. One billion times.
"You may get hurt or killed". So, there is a chance that I might get killed without getting hurt??? I'm confused now...
OK now, who has been shoehorning Turbonique drag axles in "unintendedly accelerating" cars??
