I admit, this season is starting to lose me. Everything is so disjointed and over the top it has become a distraction. It’s like watching a soap opera, only with gore.

I was wondering about that too. Are the kids catching the vampirism through the infection of measles? It didn’t look like the original kid was intentionally turning all of them. If they are catching it through measles, was there not even one single kid who had been vaccinated?

When they showed Shireen getting burned, a lot of the soldiers were turning away in disgust. So I got the impression that they deserted because of that. Not to mention that if Stannis is willing to burn his beloved daughter at the stake, what would he do to any of them?

Sansa’s rape was all about Theon. It’s giving him manly pain so he will become motivated to save this poor girl from her horrible fate. And it seems like they cannot think of anything else to do bad to a woman except rape. It’s lazy storytelling.

To try and hook the mothers of said 12 year olds, because the mothers are the ones with the money who will be buying Jem merchandise.

I know nothing about computers. I know where the power button is and that’s about it. Yet even I know that a broken computer can be repaired and the info retrieved from it. So it felt off when Charlie the computer nerd broke her computer and died over it.

When Sansa and Littlefinger were in the crypt and she told him Lyanna was kidnapped and raped, Littlefinger gave her a look. I’m wondering how much of that was a fanservice nod to the rumors of Jon Snow’s parents, or if Littlefinger knows something he isn’t telling.

I want this. I want this badly. Not for my own phone. I want it for that annoying friend that always insists on taking pics of everyone when they aren’t expecting it. I want to put this on her phone and then sit back and enjoy the show.

The show is starting to deviate from the books enough that it is anybody’s guess now. But if they are trying to set it up for Tyrion to be Dany’s advisor, it’s not going too great. I mean, why should she take advice from a guy who knows he has a huge price on his head and is easily recognized, yet he was stupid enough…

Given where Randall Flagg ends up, a sequel might be interesting.

Seeing what eventually becomes of Ralphie in Storm would be interesting too. Especially if he ever returned to the island to give the townsfolk the same choice again.

There were parts of this episode that felt so out of character they were jarring. Tyrion, for instance. I understand that he is discouraged, depressed, and drunk, but he has lived by using his wits his entire life. Hanging out in a crowd in the middle of town and then going to party in a brothel isn’t the best idea.…
