I love True Blood, but was totally turned off by that preview. I am hoping the whole show isn't a huge steaming hot mess. I wish they would get a little closer to the books.

I am thrilled that it looks like there will be another season. I hope they stick to following the books. It was like the majority of the first book was a set up for the ones to follow. If they stick with that, then now the show can really begin.

I am an only child, yes. So I get to make all the decisions and shoulder the whole responsibility. She has told me if I try to stick her in a home she will kill herself. So it is like she was not content to ruin my childhood, she has to ruin the rest of my life as well. Yes, I know I have a few issues to deal…
That is exactly what is happening. The relationship is reversed and it is frustrating. It is like having a 300 pound toddler. She actually threw a tantrum a few days ago in the car. I wound up just having to take her back home because I was not going anywhere with her acting like that.
At what point do you quit letting your parent live with you and start looking for a nursing home? My mom lives with me and most of the time is not too bad. When she has one of her "spells" tho, she can ruin the entire house. I got so frustrated with her yesterday I yelled "YOU are the reason we can't have nice…
If it could make them experience the whole childbirth thing too then I would be giving these out to all my male friends.
Can it also simulate the weight gain, swollen feet, and hemorrhoids? If so, I will stick one of those on my sweetie with a stapler next time he mentions having a kid.
I think one of the things I like about True Blood is the evolution of the characters. Sookie went from the sweet little virginal girl to the insane woman who cackles while pouring the remains of Russell's lover down the garbage disposal. Sam went from the easy going guy who turns into a sweet collie to the man who…
I am the backpacking skydiver, and my best friend is the hotel room lounger. When we go places together, we have an absolute veto we allow each other once or twice a trip. For example, she vetoed my idea of a beach side bungee jump, and I vetoed her idea of a movie. Then we worked to find something we could both…
Everything is trying to kill you!
I'll be in my bunk.
I would pay good money for one of those dancing sea turtles.
Everyone is always hating on Sansa. I was too, until this episode. The end, in the throne room, where she is watching the court before she speaks was good. With the expression on her face, you could almost see the little girl melt away and a frightened young woman emerge. She realizes that life is not like the…
Went out with friends last night and wound up talking to a totally cute guy. After we chatted for a bit I realized he was a moron and was trying to think of a way to escape without causing humiliation or hurt feelings for anyone. He told me he was ready to go if I was. Huh? He asked me "Why did you come over and…
When my grandmother swore, it would result in an immediate withdraw by her family and friends. Not because of the words. (She would mutter "shit fire hell damn" like some kind of weird mantra.) It was because when she started cursing, we all knew she was irate. For the kids in the group, that usually meant a…
This was the first thing I thought of too.
If a movie's effects are good enough to where I don't notice them and am engaged by the plot, I don't complain. It is the ones where I sit there and notice everything that has been done that makes a movie bad. Usually tho, those movies are also the ones that have bad acting or writing with it too.
Before my daughter graduated, she and about 25 of her friends had a huge light saber battle at school as the senior prank. It was funny, no one got hurt, there was no property damage or anything. Just kids having fun. The faculty's reaction was basically to contain it to one area, let it run its course, and go on…
