pretty sure I’ve seen this article word for word 6 years ago about millennials.

You mean money they don’t have. All the corporations have sucked everything dry. Right now, they’re like a huge sewer vacuum truck cleaning up a spilled cup of coffee. Don’t worry though, they’ll suck away your coffee mug, too.

I didn’t go to many restaurants at all when in my teens and twenties, at least not fancy sit-down restaurants.  Fast food restaurants don’t count IMHO.  Going out to eat in a restaurant was much more commonplace in my thirties and forties.  I think those decades are the peak restauranting years.

I love that every year or two there’s a new variation of the “why aren’t Millennials buying diamonds?!?” scare headline.

Idk, maybe because it’s expensive?

Gen Z can’t cook. That’s why they invented Door Dash.

I agree With almost everything you said the sole exception being technology. You can buy a phone which 5 years ago would have been considered top of the life for $200 today  And that $200 phone will perform almost as good as a $1200 phone.

right, this is another whole article in which the title can be answered in 1 sentence: Because they are broke.

Maybe because they are paying far more, as a percentage of their income, for rent/mortgage, utilities, and student loans than prior generations?

It’s actually not that surprising. Sony has always been outwardly hostile to its own legacy. They just don’t see why people would want to play old games, especially if they could just sell you a remaster.

I think that even if she’s got her hands full enough with James Bond, she could easily delegate the creation of a movie in the Bond universe centered around one (or more) of the various side characters that fill out 007's adventures. People loved Paloma, it seems like it would be a fairly easy task to have her get up

I sure wish Clive Owen had gotten the chance to be Bond.

I haven’t cared for a Bond movie in ages but Barbara Broccoli is a very intelligent producer who takes her responsibilities of caring for the character and franchise very seriously. I don’t agree with a lot of her decisions but I think people underestimate how difficult it is to steer this big of a ship and I honestly

fact check: you aren’t really having any trouble at all with the idea that James Bond, hyper-masculine tough guy and consummate ladies man, is a “men’s role”

It’s also why I, as an Asianish dude, don’t want to him to be a POC, either. Because it’s kinda insulting:

The problem I have with Brocolli saying things like “I believe in making characters for women and not just having women play men’s roles” is that she has been producing films since 1995 and I cannot think of a single memorable female role in any of those movies bar Judi Dench’s M, who of course was originally a male

I just want Nintendo to re-re-release WW on Switch. I never bought a Wii U and it’s the only game that I want to play from that console that’s still locked to it.

Since moving to PC gaming I have saved so much on games. Steam sales have ensured my catalog is full of amazing games, but all at a great discount. I cannot believe Nintendo still charges full price for their games years after release. I like Mario and Zelda, but those should all be $20 titles this far along.

I only just got a Switch this year and have been loving the amount of indie games I’ve been able to get for pretty cheap in various sales, but I tell ya - I’ve only played BotW and Super Mario Odyssey because they were on Christmas sale when I got it. The barrier of entry to first-party Nintendo games is so high, even
