The staging and cinematography for all the action scenes in this show have been bad. The “chase” scenes with Leia are the worst offenders, but the fight scenes aren’t great either.
Yeah, that forest chase was terrible. It’s one of the worst things I’ve seen in quite some time. I felt like I was watching Odd Squad (no offense to the wonderful Odd Squad).
My favorite part was when one of the henchmen hits a tree branch at a speed charitably called “jogging”, and we’re supposed to believe that it was some major impediment.
You may or may not be a parent, but I promise that a world of hurt coming down on adults because kids just don’t listen is one hundred percent realistic. It’s also consistent with Leia’s character as an adult.
Having ridiculous chases where that kid (who, btw looks like she’s 6, not 10) somehow outruns multiple adults,…
Sticking with canon has never really been a strong point of SW. You used to be able to just shrug and blame it on Lucas not caring about continuity the same way the fans did, but it is considerably more strange coming from these series which are supposedly being made by superfans. Hopefully they do address what Vader…
Except that it’s a reference to Dick Grayson being a former trapeze artist...
The marketplace one is a little better because you can convince yourself that its crowded so maybe its harder. But the forest scene with Flea’s gang is just flat out bad. They looked like a bunch of doofuses, especially since at one point they had her surrounded and she still got away. She 10! And like you said with…
I’m worried about this game for a number of reasons, and Barbara’s backstory doesn’t even crack the top 10.
“Also: Little Leia is a lot of fun.”
The show has used one of my most hated tropes: kids not listening causing all the problems.
... im not a big comics fan at all but that whole “non-lethal” rounds thing (ignoring how they can somehow be piercing)... is that shit canon?
Yeah, they took the one thing I think everyone hated from Last Jedi and seemingly turned it into the whole show. The world is full of jaded people who have given up on trying to do good, I don't need it in my entertainment.
It is the way.
Oh man they had an incredible opportunity to make this a “Fugitive” style series where Obi-Wan goes planet-hopping in between checking on Luke to do anonymous good deeds while staying one step ahead of the Jedi hunters. And sounds like they fucking blew it to shoehorn in more existing characters.
While there were numerous idiotics plotbeats in the second episode, there were two in particular I want to highlight as they had me howling in laughter.
Considering that she died two years ago, I hope this isn’t true.
My problem with it was that it relied too much on prior familiarity. If this was the first Batman movie you’d ever seen it almost wouldn’t make sense, at least in terms of the character relationships. You’d feel like you were dropped into the middle of a story, not the beginning of one. It was well-done in many…
“That’s a long time to go without big, new games, so fans of either series would I’m sure love to see an announcement on that front.”
Us Legacy of Kain fans have been waiting forever, though any new games are probably not going to be what we want since the old team isn’t a thing anymore... I’d be ok with a remaster of…
Completely changing the flow and structure of your television show to end it like movies so it feels more “cinematic”.
