As I commented on in another thread, that was an amateurish presentation and unveil.
Sweet merciful Jesus, the lengths MLB’s going to to avoid the screamingly obvious solution of “make batters stay in the box like the rules that are already in the box say they have to” really amazes me.
Right? I’d even go as many as three pitches just to get adjusted to the mound, which may feel different to the bullpen mound, but that’s it.
I always found it crazy that a guy that just spent five minutes warming up in the bullpen needs to throw 10 pitches from the mound to warm up.
I’m sorry, but you haven’t answered the question of how the content will be generated. There must be content!
Baseball’s biggest problem right now--and I’m being serious--is that the people who run it do not appear to actually enjoy the game.
I don’t understand why Manfred has to go to the extreme of the “pitchers must face a minimum of three batters rule” just to speed the game up. There’s no need for such a fundamental change.
This situation, which others here have noted extends all across the economy, exists for three reasons:
It’s also very much a thing in the legal world too. There are numerous law firms where the vast majority of lawyers and legal assistants are full-time permalancers that can get cut at any point.
It’s funny, because as a tech person who’s been ‘round the freelance block since the mid-90s and is also friends with a lot of artists, I’ve heard that old “die from exposure” joke more times than I can count.
This is not just in journalism. Using perma-contractors is kind of a thing in tech too. This kind of loophole in employment law is why the middle class is shrinking.

I freelance at leveraging synergies across multiple dynamic paradigm shifts.
If anything, I think this sheds a light on what a degree means these days. I think a lot of kids these days don’t see the point of going to school. For myriad reasons, a degree is worth a lot less than it was in the days of their parents. In the case of this young lady, her time would unquestionably be better spent…
Looks like someone finally made something out of Godus :)
Moreover - if my parents/someone just gave me $500k and cut me off there, I could probably live modestly off of the dividends for the rest of my life. while working a job that doesn’t require a college degree. What an extreme waste of money, and now they’re probably going to lose a lot more in the court battles and…
The really dumb question: Why does she even need a degree? What could it possibly do for her? Why would her parents pay 500k to get her into a good school when they could put that same money toward ... idk, launching a clothing line or acting classes or some other kind of self promotion more in line with this woman’s…
I have zero int rest in playing Fallout 76, but this is cool.
The joke’s on him when he has to reflect on the horror’s he’s participated in and tries to escape with his son by flying away only to have his son perish when his wings melt and he falls into the ocean.
