There’s criticism and then there’s a circle jerk. Pop into any thread anywhere about Avengers or Star Wars and it’s the same complaints over and over again.

You already responded to yourself perfectly. The great critics of The Internet have decided everything at E3 is garbage. FF7 remake, an Avengers game, a single player Star Wars story, if it didn’t have a Keanu Reeves cameo, it’s complete shit.
yeah the main thing that bugs me is the fact that it’s definitely going to wind up on multiple consoles. I was originally thinking we’d get the whole game within a year or two over a few episodes and that I’d just wait to get it when it was all done. Now it seems like that’s going to take a long time and will…
No, I haven’t pre-ordered a game in years. But I would like to see more than a Pixar short about this brand new game that they just casually dropped after 53 minutes of Tom Clancy updates.
Yeah, it was in a great spot for a big announcement (I was with most people in hoping for a new Splinter Cell announcement there). I was surprised with how abrupt it was. I was just kind of watching like ‘Wait... is that it?’
Weird that they have a game coming out in February and they showed literally nothing about it in the show. This write-up tells me way more than the Ubi show did and I still don’t really know what to expect. But the art style is different from all of the other Ubi Tom Clancy games, so that’s nice.
So Ghostwire is going to show us what Clint Barton was up to before Endgame. Cool.
So calling out public figures on Twitter while being a public figure = corny and bad
Counterpoint, I have had airlines lose bags or damage things inside of them and it’s just not worth it. My ex lost her bag on a trip to Mexico and had to buy new outfits and a bathing suit and spent the next four days sulking about not having any of her personal stuff she brought. It was not fun for anybody.
1. A four-pitcher no-hitter isn’t a no-hitter. Who even gets credit for that?
In the world of Pokemon, are there other animals too, or only Pokemon? What makes a sheep pokemon different from a sheep? Do people ever accidentally mistake one for the other? And what happens if you accidentally put a regular sheep in a pokeball? Will it work at all or will it somehow get sucked in and just turn…
Basically, you can never go home again. We love the stuff that was surprising and inventive. As soon as we try to go back to the surprise and the magic, it’s different. It’s why sequels are never as good as the original and sequels that do something different are the worst offenders.
I gave up halfway through. I like Inception, I think. I only saw it once, actually. But it looked cool and was really inventive for a big budget movie. But if you have to write a dissertation about a movie that explains all the stuff that isn’t in the movie in order to make it “work” then it doesn’t work.
I’m dumb and am having a hard time figuring out how big that thing is. I’m mostly curious how it will have the “space” of a “traditional SUV” and also be “compact.” But that looks good and if it has more oomph than a Crosstrek — which would be hard not to — that looks like it could be a solid contender for my next car.
This ain’t 2008 anymore bud. Unemployment is low enough that we can all have real jobs even if it still only pays a dollar over minimum wage. We’ve moved out of momndads and into shoebox-sized luxury apartments in the city where we spend 70% of our income on rent and the other 30% on gluten-free craft beer. We’re…
It’s worth a watch. Is it the best use of five-ish hours of your time? Probably not. But it’s enjoyable. Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini are both good in it and carry the show. There are definitely some moments where I was questioning the characters but there are some decent “oh shit” moments as well. If you…
I’ve been needing to replace my home computer for probably two years now. I’ve been thinking about switching to an iPad for a while, and this might actually push me in that direction.
Yes.
I love most of Sorkin’s work, but isn’t that what he thinks about everything?
Last year was the year I finally ditched XBox. It’s the first time I haven’t had a Microsoft console in my home since Halo 2 was out, and I can’t say I miss it. I’m curious to see what Microsoft does with all the studios they bought, but I just don’t really see what their selling point is anymore. MS brags about…
