I think Metal Gear is total nonsense. The characters are outlandish to the point of being painful to watch and the dialog is straight up awful. It's the cheesiest most overwritten stuff I've ever seen.

Definitely one of the most played and most formative games of my life. I don't even know how many times I played this game. Ifmonly I had a PS3 to play the HD release.

As for video games being the whipping boy for laziness, I find TV to be far worse. 9 out of 10 shows on TV are absolutely mindless and focus on the lowest common denominator. And they require no input. Games at least require engagement and thought, TV just requires you sit and stop thinking entirely.
