At least the Pokemon movie seems a lot more authentic, with faithful character designs that a cute. And it seems like the film is proud of what it is, unlike with Sonic, which is trying to cater to the public by making everything seem bland.

For starters, Detective Pokemon isn’t “Pikachu gets teleported to an alternate world.” Can we stop doing that with these adaptions?

In so many ways. One looks good and funny.

Search up “Pikachu” then “Pikachu movie” and look at the pictures side by side. Now search up “Sonic” and “Sonic movie” and look at the pictures side by side. The difference will become clear.
