Same. I played it when it first came out - so a while ago - but I remember enjoying the actual game play. The story I remember being crap. I may need to dig out the Wii and play it again.

I just played through it recently and I liked Other M too. The story was goofy and the “aim at the screen” parts were wonky but the meat of the gameplay was solid. Not up to Metroid standards but not bad.

X surprised me as well. Overall, that story demo was a serious cock-tease, considering how quickly enemies died, and the only fight with a real opponent was limited to the awkward duo of Spencer and Thor. It was just a struggle to test out combos on opponents made of wet tissue paper.

The game is actually a ton of fun! But I can never talk about enjoying it without people shitting all over it because of the awful story.I mean, fair, it was bad, but the gameplay was pretty dang good!

As a Saturn owner for 20 years, the bigger draw is arcade games like Daytona USA, Virtua Cop, Virtua Fighter, Sega Rally Championship, and even Knights into Dreams (all a must to own, and I even have a light gun for the bes VC experience)
