Let's be honest, I did. Watching another SEC team drag its one-loss ass into a title game ahead of seven other one-loss teams is proof that calling this a "national championship" game is an insult to nations and champions.

Because the point of the game was never to crown a championship as though the FBS was a 120 team league conceived with the nation of using the regular season to synthesize a single title-holder from the group.

ESPN. There are a lot of places to point the finger, but no single entity has a bigger share of the blame to bear over the past 15 years than ESPN.

Steve Lyons's underpants called and they're not happy.

Steve Lyons's compression shorts called, and they are not happy.

[slow claps... weeps uncontrollably]

Iamthegenio is now, "Hep Cat Emeritus."

Totally stipulated.

The BCS was supposed to ensure that there were no obstacles to having #1 play #2. Now, we've got obstacles to figuring out who's #2 and who's #3. When we have a playoff, it's going to be about who's #4 and who's #5, all the while, we're forgetting that it's about how ESPN and FOX can supercharge more post-season ad

I get the whole "nothing can stop Florida State v. Alabama" except Florida State or Alabama mentality, but what I don't get is the total absence of "any talk of Florida State v. Alabama while ignoring undefeated Ohio State or undefeated Baylor " lamentation. I think college football playoffs completely misses the joy,

Tom Ley is obviously editorializing; to suggest that he's not is ludicrous. Is that any different than everything else on Deadspin? I kinda think that the appeal of Deadspin is the snark with which contemporary sports news is covered.

By what yardstick is opposing or identifying racism measured as the dominion of an exclusively "left wing agenda?"

Strong play, calling Ley jealous of the title "Honorary Brother." Is this anything like being named "Hep Cat Emeritus?"

"This isn't an issue about child molestation. This is an issue about my and those kids' relationship where I've taken stuff too far," and, "I can be accountable for my actions, and my actions were coming from a place of love."

Wrapping yourself in the flag is always a douche move.

Love the handle, by the way.

If your response to this is "I question the soundness and legitimacy" of your Youth Center poll, then... I don't even have to finish that. My work here is done.
