Who the hell is Adrian Covert then? :|

Knowing Nokia's spent upwards of billions and billions of dollars in the past years for R&D yet still losing their market share, well, you might as well copy it. They won't have enough for their lawyers if their stupid concepts, software, and crappy "smartphones" keep going at this rate.

@crazypills77: Cheapest plan would be the 450 minute plan ($40), 0 SMS, and unlimited data ($30).

Don't forget a USRP, a laptop, and a VSAT connection to create your own GSM network for the civilization.

Look at me! Look at me! I have an SUV! CAN'T STOP ME NOW! I HAVE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE BITCHES!

... Jawbone Era? $130?

Because let's face it; it's ugly on the exterior and uglier in the chassis department.

Fastest? AT&T, theoretical doesn't count. Practice does.

... because a 5.7-liter Hemi and a dinky electric motor will really help, right?

Love having a phone that's more or less stationary?

Right. With something that small, it won't be that hard to crack it open.

Ha. Speaking of gas prices, the dealer we just got our new pickup ['10 F-150... $27K... ouch] from gave us a $20 gas voucher for a gas station up the road.

Any way you look at it this guy's a crook.

@Matat: Doesn't make a difference. Pull the ESN, MIN, MDN, and potentially the A-key and you've got the same effect for voice and SMS.

They make embedded SIMs. Maybe this could be a solution for their woes:

Right. Because the average GSM or CDMA baseband on any phone can be repurposed as a base station transceiver while also acting as a giant peer-to-peer base station controller, VLR, HLR, etc, etc.

I should have listened to the nice Verizon lady at the shop when we got our family plan. "Keep the Eris you have now from your prepaid plan and you'll have an anytime upgrade!"

@gary_7vn: Well, those stupid keys are upwards of $1-200/blank because they've got to shove the entire remote and the stupid security crap that you've got to go pay a dealer to program...

Hey, folks, the instructions and the work we've put into actually letting people pull this off is here: [www.chromeoslounge.com]
