These were young girls maybe from not very worldly families, they also very well did not know who these men were. Just that they were rich and powerful. I mean when I was 15-16 I wouldn’t have known who Prince Andrew and Alan Dershowitz were.

The parallels to Trump’s supposed wealth are intriguing. The fact that Deutsche Bank is also involved with his finances, again intriguing. The fact that this circle of friends exists, they all seem to know the same people, the same bankers, the same Russian mob bosses, the same little facts keep cropping up... I dunno

I would appreciate if media would cease calling it ‘recruitment’ and call it ‘procuring’. On account of it’s not a football scholarship. Am I spitting into the wind with that?

The problem is people are being lied to.

She lost a House race in the least red district in Kentucky in a landslide year for Democrats (2018).

Yes - the issue isn’t just that McConnell is a horrible human being. He’s also smart and shameless.

To be fair, Sinema is also in state that has a ton of voters of color, and a stronger base of consistently Blue voters. But, her campaign would probably be the one to mimic in a place like Kentucky. Even if progressives there don’t love her, they’ll get what she’s doing and support her to avoid seeing McConnell

Hell, most people don’t want to pay for anyone else’s insurance at all, but they fail to understand how insurance works to begin with. All of our money goes into a pot, that pot gets invested, the dividends help pay for procedures/treatment/medications/etc., and no one could tell if my dollars went for my treatment,

Single payer is incredibly complicated and there are probably a myriad of proposals and pathways to that goal. Just look at the other countries that have universal healthcare.

Right-- and you realize to get a majority we need Dems in Red States in the Senate right?  We need to pick up additional seats in AZ and MT (Sinema and Tester are substantially better than Manchin but seem relatively similar to McGrath), Colorado, Maine, retain Alabama (or compensate by picking up another seat).   We

The best way to think of it is that these are moderate republicans running under the “D” label who are willing to caucus with the democrats to build up our numbers.  Which is fine by me.  They are welcome; because we need all the help we can get in a regressive institution like the senate.

Yes - and given that Trump is still popular there, she’s not going to win by running against him. Per 538, Trump won Kentucky by 30 points in 2016, and still has net +15 approval rating in the state. If anything, the “I support these things that you like about Donald Trump and McConnell doesn’t” is probably the only

Tough choice. On the one hand, Mitch McConnell has been easily the most reprehensible person in politics for the last 10 years. On the other hand, McGrath doesn’t line up 100% with my vision of what I think a liberal should be, so...

Mitch McConnell does not “kind of suck”. Mitch McConnell is the architect of the end of the United States and does what he does solely out of spite. He is the embodiment of hatred and corruption.

I think the way adult women are called girls in an infantilzing and sexualized way is another slimy side of this misogynistic coin. Also related to the idea that women should dislike getting older and hide their age once their 35 and up. It’s all so gross and dehumanizing, but sexualizing children is by far the worst.

Fucking states’ rights probably.

Seriously. I actually think the way she worded that statement is fairly crafty. She’s not saying “I love Trump”, she’s talking about what people (erroneously) thought they were voting for (lower drug prices, less corruption) which *is* what Turmp was promising. And McConnell *is* opposed to what Turmp promised. It’s a

Seriously, even another conservative Republican would be better than Mitch McConnell. NIXON in his prime would be better than Mitch. She can say whatever she wants just so she gets a shot at taking that treasonous bastard down.

I don’t need her to be a leftist dream, I need her to be better than Mitch. It’s a pretty low bar. Campaigning in a way that talks to voters she needs to win over, conservatives who have probably voted red their whole lives (or voted southern democrat when that was still a thing) is smart.

Ok John, fine, he’s an ephebophile. Is that better? Do you feel better now that the mean ladies called the man a slightly more accurate (but still fucking odious don’t get me wrong) word? I know the terms are important to you.
