I was 21 when I met my current partner. He was 36. We have now been together 4.5 years and not once have we ever been identified in public as anything other than as a couple in love. Give me a goddamn break. She does not look 16. She is a grown ass woman.

Hold the phone — Bradley Cooper's girlfriend is a 21 year old WOMAN not a girl as you put it. She is old enough to vote, pay taxes, serve in the military, get married, drink alcohol, graduate from college, and hold a grown ass persons job. She is a woman. Stop belittling her agency, autonomy, independence, choice, and

I thought that was a job reserved just for Florida.

Simply put, they mean, "You don't act like my stereotypical idea of what black people are like". Just like when Jez writers talk about Miley Cyrus, they mean "She acts just like her stereotypical idea of what black people are like". So much so, she even described what she wanted for her new track and video as somethi

I have no problem dating black women. I've dated plenty before. I just happened not to have dated any in the last 5-6 years.

"I've had to deal with my own family lamenting over the fact that I won't date a black woman."

I derailed at the "She doesn’t act black" comment made by your boyfriend.

I don't understand why people are reacting so strongly to this photo. I always thought of the Huffington Post as attracting a fairly reasonable readership, but many of the comments there on this situation are crazily emotional (implying that she is a pedophile or exploiting the baby) and/or vicious.

awww, it does get better. here's an internet hug.

My first thought when I saw her with that hand was "Imma let you finish". And that joke is tired and ridiculous, but seriously. Kanye's child.

If remarking on the relative attractiveness of vulvas equals "thoughtful comments" these days then we're all fucked.

Your "compliment" wasn't derogatory or exclusionary. You just missed the point by about a thousand miles and made yourself look like a shit-for-brains fuckslap.

There may be valid criticisms you could level at the herd or groupthink mentality here, but I'm not sure you chose to do so in the most productive manner.

I'm happy they did this. I don't ever see anyone's vulva close up but my own, and so I don't know how "normal" mine is. Now I know they're all a little different, and there isn't really a normal, which is comforting.

This comment misses the mark, IMO. Exposed labia are legally considered "hardcore pornography" in AU and media like AU Playboy are actually required to AIRBRUSH a woman's natural labia away to create a perfect "crease". Labioplasty is on the rise, vaginal "rejevunation" is on the rise, more girls than ever have eating

Wow. Obnoxious and ignorant, all in one small package.

You do realize that in common parlance "vagina" refers to the whole shebang. . ."

Yes, I suppose the problem with being more open about our body parts is that more frat boys and their ilk will immediately start bitching that certain body parts are not "up to spec".

The Rugrats, actually, had a lot of subverted gender roles. All of the mothers on the show were working at at least one point over the course of the show, with Angelica's mom being a high-powered business woman. Phil and Lil's mom was more traditionally masculine than their father. Chuckie had a single dad.

I'd like to add Lor and Tish (of The Weekenders) to this discussion.
