I’m also a fan of Tom’s work, and I think he hinted at how the article would be written via the “Sources” title. But it certainly does feel as if the lawyers took him for a ride a bit.

The wittiness of this quest during SUPERSRS politics time is much appreciated. Here’s to finding Lincoln!
Mhm, I kind of wish the “Wilson as corny sad divorcee” meme had gotten off the ground. Some of his earnest/awkward actions made a lot more sense in that light.
I grew up in the Cleveland-to-Pittsburgh area that fueled fair amount of Big 10 talent for years. It’s still there, but I feel it’s declining, and some of the numbers bear that out:
I’m admittedly Mr. Tin Foil Hat on this, but I feel Jackson had pressure to play Bogut/Lee that Kerr didn’t have, and that made much of the difference right there.
No! I fell for that myself, heh. One of the best Internet frauds of all time, except we’re all too ashamed now to admit we fell for it.
Saw that as well, it was beautiful.
Mhm, this happens all the time.
And the only thing that’s changed is that Meyer and Harbaugh showed up to slow the rate of decline. Look at the collapse of PSU, Wisconsin, and Nebraska.
Lebron begged Cleveland to hire him, and they wouldn’t. What greater evidence that he’s been blacklisted, and...wait wait, I’m getting Cheez-doodles on my keyboard, I’ve said too much.
Love the last one.
Ooh now this, this is a good hot take. I hate it and yet, who guards Hakeem? nice, nice.
Ooooh. Good hot take.
Mark Jackson is a better coach than Steve Kerr, and was intentionally fired right as Steph/Klay were blossoming.
The writers could clear it up better than I can, but I do believe there’s some legalese/technicality reason why that they’ve mentioned in the past. I’m sure one of the many law dads running amuck on here can clear it up, heh.
You mean “Four different assaults?” You mean “The assistant attorney general who prosecuted him said Mark was only repeat racial offender in her 13 years of prosecutions?”
He systematically targeted 10-year-old children because they were black and then went on to assault Asian men. That’s a true dedication to racial hatred. Gawker sometimes retroactively imposes 2016 morals on past acts of celebrities, but Mark’s actions were awful for any time and place, any age.
O_O a historically accurate burn using Whitlock’s own resume, impressive.
Ha! How preposterous. Next Jason will ramble that a Russian oligarch with close ties to Putin runs a fund dedicated to investing in media. He’ll even make up some crazy story about how that oligarch invested in Gawker. That crazy Whitlock!
I met Colleen online from a sportsblog (pretty sure she may have been on Gawker at some point too). She was extremely gracious and kind, even to an Internet random like myself. This is upsetting, to know she’ll be seen as some kind of spectacle rather than the good, caring person she was.
