Interesting! In some ways I’d be more fascinated to see how Blazers cap works out than Pelicans due to bump. Pelicans are a known salary cap mess; the extra money paid to Lillard, though, could make difference between starter-quality FA and reserve. (Depends on Crabbe decision as well, of course)

Exactly. Doesn’t Facebook realize that Twitch used to be Justin.tv, which was the exact same idea as FacebookLive? (Let people stream whatever they wanted?). There’s a reason all those previous companies failed.

Kevin, it’s not even about the good GM’s, unfortunately. As of now, Hinkle can’t even beat an average GM.

*old Internet person warning*

This. Teams like 80's 49'ers and 80's Lakers were kept interesting because there were at least significant archrivals that kept the dominance story from getting too pre-determined.

And it’s a good take. *jumps into HOT TAEK land* I’ll go further; women’s basketball is holding back women’s sports. Women’s soccer, volleyball, gymnastics, and tennis all look great and interesting on TV. Women’s basketball is the worst of the 5, but due to NBA connections/NCAA, it gets more time than the other 4. This made my day. I remember how well Korman wrote cons and capers, and I’m still jealous of how easy he made it seem. He kept them just plausible enough, yet had such a perfect touch of whimsy and surprise. Also, Korman did a great job making the girls from Miss Scrimmage’s intimidating and respected.

Our Man Weston is a classic, thanks for reminding me.

Yes! That might be the best McDonald Hall book, although I slightly favor the Zucchini Warriors. The pool schemes are hilarious.

Dying, I can hear the announcer voice saying this.

Thank you, I needed the laugh. Gold!

Counterpoint: The art of congratulating ourselves for making a list, and then never coming close to accomplishing an item on the list, is the very heart of Adequate Man, good sir.

Fascinating, thanks for sharing that.

Mhm. It’s frustrating that if you’re more honest in your essay, you lose sympathy points.

“Note that this pair of questions implicitly proposes that there is a 50/50 chance that the accusations against Montague are false.”

I LOL’ed, thanks for that.

Heh! Perhaps.

For what little it’s worth, Tribune story says Adam grew up in MLB clubhouses because his dad Dave was a player and coach. So it’s not as if Adam came up with bringing his son to work on his own. He himself benefited from it as a child.

Yeah, I was a bit confused as to Dspin’s angle on this story. It seems pretty clear that Johnny Manziel put his agent through a lot. Covering it up/staying his agent just makes it worse.

Good find.
