Spent some time at a UAA school as well, and it’s a tempting thought. All the UAA schools are in major-league cities or triple-AAA cities (Rochester is the smallest, depending on how you count Waltham). Sure, football might not be a good fit, but would be nice to have more DI basketball in major cities.

Could be location issues; are you in non-American locale, or using proxy IP of some kind?

Finally, details on what a loser Manziel’s agent was to leave Johnny in his hour of need. I’m going to need a BlessedToComment update stat on the legal ramifications... ;)

16 is the goal, still stuck at 15 (seconds).

Good take about how loved ones look at abuse, stick around. Agreed.

Yeah, the author’s logic doesn’t hold up. Had the agent cut ties sooner, he still would have gotten accusations of grandstanding. And Johnny’s performance on the field in 2015 was much better than 2014; until slumping against Chiefs and Seahawks, his stats were at least average.

Thanks for the chart. It definitely makes the point that funds in the category rebounded since 2010.

Ok, since you’re in the industry, maybe you can help me out. Go to

To me, it depends on when in 2006 this fund started. If it’s late 2006, well, an indexing real estate fund shows 20%-25% or so decline from peak 2006 to present-day. (Here). So it’s not necessarily as bad. I think this was fairly good analysis in some ways, but I want to see that grouping of funds as well.

I’ll confess, was in the “Kawhi is a bust” camp. They traded away a decent NBA point guard (Hill, who I think still starts for Pacers) for a mid-first-round pick, I was sure Pop lost his mind.

Thanks for bringing up Draymond, great idea. It’s odd how many people want to re-write the story as if Draymond was an obvious talent. Took a lot of good luck and timing with Bogut/Lee/Barnes health/skills for Draymond to flourish.

Now that Dennis is gone, kind of wish he had done some weather+sports posts. So, lazy open question for you: If Deadspin could hire a non-journo expert or specialist to write for Deadspin, which field/person would you pick? (Expert as in doctor/accountant/repairman/physical therapist/whatever).

Fantastic article on an important issue, Kevin. I’ve trolled Deadspin at times for not paying more attention to ESPN $ issues, admittedly. But this is more than I had hoped for and a good look at the problem.

http://www.fool.com/investing/gene… Analysts claim ESPN would have to charge $30/mo to go solo, and more than half of cable customers would cut ESPN to save $8 on their cable bills.

I can see why Johnny has rejected those thousand calls. He thought Bernie was calling from the other side. *shows self out*

For those who like/play both, thoughts? I do think soccer has more interesting ways of looking at ball/off-ball movement that help for basketball strong/weak side analysis. Others?

Baby Mama: “Cam, sweetie, we have to make sure our baby boy doesn’t think he was an accident. What can we do so he feels we chose to have him?”

Now I want to surf Twitter just to read the complaints from confused and angry DFS players.

I admittedly didn’t listen at first, thinking they’d need time to get into a good podcasting rhythm. Sucks that they apparently still aren’t there.
