She’s the only one I kind of feel bad for, besides Barron. My dad was a deadbeat, too. He’s poor and a nobody, and I still wonder what I could have done to be good enough for him. I also think she went through a period where she worked with some people who didn’t know what to do with her. There are some people who mostly know her from her comedy work, because romcoms were what pretty young actresses did when she was in her late teens and early twenties, and I don’t think that’s her sweet spot.
