Believe me... I was an Adobe pirate for years.

who competes with them? It certainly isn't GIMP - they can't get their act together.

Like I said... you can stop using Adobe software at any time... regardless of whether you have a subscription or a boxed copy.

I can't think of anyone who would willingly sign up to pay $360 or more per year to use photoshop as a hobbyist.

I've been a Windows user since the early 90s. But I always wanted to move to a Mac for Final Cut Pro.

I just figured it out myself after struggling with it on other Gawker sites. Here's the rundown:

It stays useful. You can configure all sorts of things. When I use someone else's computer... I miss some of the stuff I have my computer set to do. It's just one of many little utilities you can use for Windows.
