Exactly!

After seeing quite a few reviews and videos about the Kindle Fire... it doesn't seem like a superstar tablet.

"Yeah, but would you be as happy with the iPad as you would be with a Kindle Fire _and_ a decent secondhand set of loudspeakers? That's what those $200 would land you."

"I don't know. Price is a big pro on this thing. I think it will sell a lot based on that alone... it's going to be hard to convince the average consumer in the market for a tablet why they should pay over twice the price."

"Apple TV hasn't done much better in all honesty."

Isn't that why 3-wheelers were replaced by 4-wheelers?

This is all I could think about when I read your comment!

I just glanced at a few reviews for the S100 and none of them listed the battery life as a negative.

"Well I dare ask what was up with the antenna issues in the iphone4 or the battery problems in iphone4s"

I want to slap any manufacturer who still makes mice without a back-button for your thumb.

I was thinking the same thing! I remember hearing that Autobahn roads are 22 inches thick... compared to only 11 inches thick in America.

Don't forget... for $200-250 you're getting something half the size of the iPad.

This has more to do with the FCC's documentation... and less about consumer reporting.

There ya go.

You're right... the Kindle name has amazing brand recognition... but as a tablet it's basically a new product with no history.

I'd guess that MOST people aren't all involved in "content creation" even on laptops and desktops.
