@SamhitaMosquito: Seriously... I have no need or desire to back up any of my games. No one does. Only failure I've ever had in that regard is my ancient first disc of Under a Killing Moon deteriorating over the years.
Really Kotaku? "Backups" has long been the cover up for "stealing." Nintendo frowns on the products mentioned with good reason. Guess they don't pay attention enough to cut you off like Sony briefly did a while back.
Which one? The one without the unnecessary political messages.
@Paramour: You can keep your 98 rated GTA IV and 94 rated Halo 3 trash... sorry... "good games"... I'll take my 82 de Blob and 80 A Boy and His Blob any day. See? The scores mean absolutely nothing. All personal preference. There are loads of good games on the Wii. And more good exclusives for sure. There's so…
@Indy_aka_Rex: Maybe not minor, but it would probably represent the smallest graphical jump between console generations.
The 10 year lifespan thing is meaningless. If the PS3 wasn't initially a flop and had Wii-like sales, Sony would've pulled the plug on the PS2 a long time ago. They kept it around because they had to.
@Daniel Hinkles: Exactly.
Main attraction my ass. That would be the list on the top of that page you linked to that shows Galaxy 2 (a Wii game) at the top. You know, the one you should have highlighted in your post.
@DarkLinkinfinite: Sounds like an ideal time to knock out all of those Horde achievements.
It's really 4x. They've had double the original XP for many months, so it's basically the norm now.
@chamoo232: Small video so it's hard to tell, but it very much looks like Source to me. It helps that their games are typically seen as good enough so that no one complains that their graphical quality is from 2004. I would bet that they're holding off releasing something brand new for the next Half-Life, whatever…
Not bad at all. I got the e-mail early this morning and went ahead and ordered the figurine. They do allow you to choose the gold reward unlike last year, but no thanks.
@Modus_Operandi: Just go on the Club Nintendo site... can't miss it.
@iWasAnOnionKnight: Nope... 3.9 inches high with a 4.6 inch diameter.
$2-$5 dollars per episode? I know he followed that with "or whatever," but still, either those numbers aren't even in the ballpark or they're going to have a whole bunch of episodes.
@Jandau: As is so often the case with episodic games, I'd imagine that the total cost of the episodes will be the same as the full game. And then when the retail version drops to $30-$40, the downloadable one will still be sitting there at $60 for months on end.
Odd how they decided to have four 25+ year old controllers and then skip a dozen years and jump straight to the PS1.
When I got platinum status last year (and having to buy Punch-Out!! near the deadline to put me over the top), I figured it was just because the program was new and I was able to get some coins for older stuff. I thought going forward, there's no way I'd get the 600 coins required for platinum in one year, but it was…
I guess it's a big savings if you're actually paying $50 a year for Live.
