I don't see anything changing for the Wii, but for the next console, I hope they abandon the friend codes and have an online system more on par with the 360. And hopefully they won't charge for it.

Far Cry 2's map is twice as big as what is shown.
I'm not interested personally based on this article, but these games have their place and this should be good if you like the genre.
@Lezard: Agreed. And I don't own any of them, but from what I've read, they're all the same anyway. You just have a different initial selection of dogs.
@mespme: That's not really fair for a game that's been out for six months. It'll be in that list eventually though.
Clearly voted on by kids who started gaming in the Xbox/PS2/GCN generation. Yikes.
@HumphreyLee: I don't really look at it as how many good games came out this year or that year because I've never been one to buy and finish games as they come out. I just get around to playing them over time. The last Wii game I played (last month) was Pikmin which was released in March 2009. As long as I get…
"The market is saturated with Wiis."
de Blob isn't the best example. Its only motion control was for jumping, something that could (and should have had the option to) be mapped to a button press.
I don't think people failed to finish Gears 2 because it was too hard. That's what difficulty levels are for. You really have to work to get killed on Casual.
@chopblock: Wrong again. :-)
People just don't get enough mileage out of their single player games. I have 80 hours in both Okami (one playthrough) and Corruption (one playthrough on each difficulty) and 50-60 in Galaxy (242 stars). But when you look up the stats for those games, they're nowhere close to those numbers. Personally, I can't…
@chopblock: Wrong, wrong, wrong... so we should agree to disagree, and hopefully you'll understand what that means this time. We aren't going to change each other's minds, so further discussion is quite pointless.
"Wii Definition"? You mean 480p like DVDs? Yeah, I think most people are perfectly happy with that still. The number of people watching all of their movies in HD now is still a tiny minority. But hey, whatever it takes to take a shot at Wii owners, right?
@chopblock: What facts? The majority of games on all systems (past or present) are garbage. It's not just Nintendo or the Wii.
@chopblock: Agree to disagree I guess.
@chopblock: The fault is 100% on the consumer for buying shovelware. If you just wander into a store, say "this looks fun," and buy a game, you only have yourself to blame when it sucks... certainly not Nintendo. And it's not even a Wii specific issue... if you buy any of your games like that, then you're more than…
I'll never quit playing video games. I get so much more out of them than, say, movies and books.
The Jardine/Griffin fight isn't accurate unless it ends with Griffin crying.
@Eskobar: Get a FightPad and try that. It may not be as good as a stick (I wouldn't know), but it's way cheaper and infinitely more useful than the 360 controller.
