Darksiders 1 & 2 just ripped from their aesthetic from the dark age (90s) era of comics. The environments were pretty but the characters were insufferably over serious and bland.

Shouting into static but...effeminate men is just a different view of masculinity. Japan idealizes the androgynous. This clashes with the western (usually American) view that seeks to embrace everything masculine and eliminate the feminine, which often confuses people when the two ideals crash.

Lawlz, I just finished that fight. Esther was invaluable for healing and never died. The genie spent the whole fight attacking her. Moltaan was the first boss to kill me. For the OP, the game is definitely not easy. You have to grind a lot but you can still get sucker punched.
