I’m saying that the fact that in order to add your Steam account and include even the games you haven’t installed requires you to allow it to connect and pass information to an outside connection, despite claiming that it doesn’t use your data and only saves the ‘web authorization’ cookie that Steam would create once

Just because someone is a parent doesn’t suddenly make them grow angel wings and become winning human beings. Sometimes they stay the same selfish, miserable, failed excuses for people that they were before they managed to bring a kid into this world.

The horror of software made in central EU that happens to claim it doesn’t store any of your info other than web cookies yet still fails to work if you block specific outbound connections to IP networks that happen to be listed as ‘known Russian botnets’ in your firewall software. I have no issue with its country of

The thing about Playnite is that it’s Czechian software and in at least one of the versions I used - it refused to work because it didn’t do the parsing of things like your Steam profile (so it could list games you don’t have installed but have purchased) in app but by passing it to a russian IP that was pre-blocked

Sorry I can see how my wording came off as if I’m implying that hotsaucing was ‘preferable’ to those other methods of abuse - I was actually attempting to equate them as the same - abusive.

I think it’s less that they became ‘lazy’ and more that they are less interested in game development and more interested in developing other stuff. Hence why they delved into AR and VR and Linux and streaming game boxes.

Ignore me - I somehow managed to reply to the entirely wrong comment.

I’ll point you to my comment here.

Except that Valve didn’t/doesn’t really take as large of a cut as you think since they only take a cut if you buy the game directly from their store. Any other method of purchasing the game, despite the fact that the game would still be redeemed and supported by Steam, was free and clear.

I’m assuming your beachfront property is neighboring an ocean biome and not a river. If so, Drowned only spawn five blocks below water level and down. Build a glass platform out at that level, however far out you want to protect. It won’t prevent spawns, but the ones that do won’t be able to reach you.

The primary difference between the two is that path tracing involves using Monte Carlo integration to randomly distribute rays among all the pixels of the scene rather than just shooting a billion rays out of each light source and attempting to trace their paths.

And then the article updated.... WTF is with Texas’s state government that it is so far off from how it’s cities are run?
