Thanks for bringing some nuance to this. It’s so necessary and in seemingly short supply.

It’s like you and the others here don’t understand how politics work. There are still A LOT of old school politicos in Congress who play the game it’s meant to be played, and this includes vote trading. I suspect Warren and Brown have teamed up with some Republicans and promised not to block Carson, if they will not…
Yes. Burn down the political opposition to Republicans. Great idea.
Reactions like yours are why national politics is as dysfunctional as it is.
It’s called picking your battles.
Isn’t it awesome the double standard?
My coworkers are cracking themselves up about the Obamas stealing the furniture, cause, you know, black people...
Nice. As an aside, I am currently sitting across from two coworkers that have nothing but bitch about Obama for the past eight years mutter to each other about how “he’s our President now and people need to get over it.”
Shhh...don’t hurt the Trump snowflakes fe-fees!
Having a relative, blood or not, who is “not white” does not mean a person isn’t racist.
Harsh but true. Of all the interantional tourists I’ve encountered over the years, Russians top the list of the worst. And Putin is fueled by spite because better countries consider Russia to be the Florida of the world.
Russia is the country verison of Trump. They desperately want to be taken seriously by classier, better, richer countries. But we all know they’re just a bunch of track-suit wearing garbage people. If you’re ever travelling and your hotel is full of Russian tourists, change hotels.
Trump is primarily pro-trump. If he can say or do something to benefit himself today and the opposite thing will benefit him tomorrow then he’ll do it.
so I’m sure Trump is a completely differemt person behind those doors.
In Trump’s America, a black man isn’t an “American” until he produces his long-form birth certificate. All this talk of “all Americans” coming from a party that emphasizes it’s predominantly white constituents are what is known as “real Americans”, should be met with the greatest of skepticism.
By most accounts, Trump’s MO is to scream about you in public but then be super conciliatory towards you in person. Even people who he has singled out as villains say he’s not the least bit confrontational or angry when you interact with him one-on-one.
Yeah, plus I read MLK3's summary of the meeting as employing a bit of shade here, like “the guy just said the same thing over and over for 30 minutes and didn’t listen to a word I said.”
During a interview in front a religious crowd when asked what he’d asked God for forgiveness for he thought for two seconds and then basically answered that he’d never asked God for forgiveness for anything, because he truly believed he never did anything wrong.
