Kaine’s abortion comments at the end were the only part I saw, and I thought he was right on.

Shit, I laughed SO loudly when Pence dropped his foreign policy plan of “STRENGTH. STRENGTH.” with such gravitas that he seemed to be waiting to be met with a hushed “oooooh” and a round of applause. Like he thought we’d all swoon at his manliness.

Bingo— which guy defended his captain best? Not Pence.

Kaine destroyed Pence, I saw it too. I still can’t believe anyone falls for Pence’s fake folksiness, not one bit of it seems real.

I watched on tv and thought Kaine mopped the floor with Pence. I’m still incredulous that anyone can say Pence won.

I very much appreciate Kaine’s view on abortion and regarding his religion and the role it plays in how he governs, which is that it should NOT play a role.

I was so giddy after Kaine’s truth bomb that I ran to Jezebel to see how they discussed it in the live blog. There must be tons of praise! Maybe even a “YAAAAAS QWEEEEEN”!

In my experience, no they really don’t. They make unlikely promises that are inevitably broken but the vast majority govern exactly as they campaigned. The assholes usually promised explicitly to be an asshole.

Politicians don’t even bother with it. They usually just lie.

The side angle to the death penalty arguement was that Kaine was pointing out that it’s important for politicians not to substitute their religious beliefs for the beliefs of the people they represent. It’s important for the issues we don’t agree with and issues like abortion and gay marriage that we do agree with.

Because in a debate cycle where abortion is the subject which must not be named Kaine spelled out why it’s important, what exactly it means in terms of the two campaigns and issued a challenge to republican lawmakers who use religion as an excuse to pass trap laws to “protect women.”

I watched it, and I thought Kaine whiped the floor with Pence. TBH it felt like a one person debate. Kaine challenged every point with facts and Pence ignored him and hurled jabs like “career politician” (which Pence is), then turned around and told Kaine he was running a campaign of insults; he accused Kaine of being

He said something pretty great: “why don’t you trust women to make this decision?”

Kaine was a little hyper and came off overbearing but he GOT HIS JOB DONE: he protected Clinton, tried to make Pence defend Trump, AND got the perfect soundbites for an election ad.

God yes, so much Ohio. And wtf is up with people here braking through green lights?

haha I was at the Cars and Coffee meet in Houston.

Every time.

And OHIO too!!!!!

Heel-toe works on race cars with a pedal arrangement designed for it. On a typical passenger car with pedals spaced far enough apart to avoid “Audi 5000 accidental acceleration” it will be difficult unless you have size 13 shoes like me ;)

Learn how to control oversteer.

Maybe I’m just slow in this regard, but having driven manual cars for almost 25 years years, I still can’t heel-toe without jerky, abrupt crap happening.
