I know, but if you’re clever with it, you can convince people of a concept that they would absolutely not agree to otherwise.

What I never understand is why they want those old jobs back. I’ve had jobs adjacent to several forms of manufacturing, and even at the tail end of the century when the places were mostly clean and there was a reasonable amount of safety measures, the jobs kind of sucked.
I want new jobs in new things. I want a world…
Honestly, I would move or find a profession/social activity that would have like-minded people in it.
I go with Silicon Valley’s Erlich Bachman:
I say this every time, but the picture that broke the scandal wasn’t just a little harmless sexting. He sent an unsolicited dick pic to a college student who tweeted him to talk about politics and who was none too happy to find herself thrust into the national spotlight because Weiner turned out to be a sleaze.
Yeah, but he definitely has a compulsion that he seems totally unable to stop or conduct in an appropriate way. I mean, the US is not in a place where we can accept a prominent politician with an open relationship, but this seems something unhealthier.
So what? People express their sexuality in all kinds of unleathy, unproductive, seemingly strange ways when they are confined within a construct that they believe is right, that they’ve been told theuir whole life is right, that society expects them to live within, but in their heart feels wrong. I don’t see Weiner’s…
Wow. You know what I see a lot of here? People making judgments based on the most superficial of factors in these contexts. The “on paper” stuff. Maybe it nothing to do with having the “upper hand” or “control,” maybe despite (or maybe even because!) the new girl is peculiar, and maybe despite her being less…
Or, maybe monogamy just isn’t for some people, but our rigid social structures and expectations, especially for public figures, and even moreso for politicians, don’t allow people the leeway to explore their sexuality in healthy ways.
I think it’s simpler. He just seems to be horny all the time and Huma is often out working somewhere other than NYC. So, his horniness goes to twitter DM and massage parlors.
I think the word “apparently” is important here. what was “apparent” to the world was a somewhat “peaceful life” but it wasn’t that way.
Thanks for the endorsement.
I watched every single episode of that trainwreck of a show, feeling guilty while doing so. He is the worst but maybe I shouldn’t judge, lol.
Seasonal allergies were created by the government in the 60s to attack hippies, the so-called ‘flower children’
listen, let’s not let the wacko conspiracy theories overshadow Hillary’s actual health problems. i have extensive experience in this area and there is literally no issue more debilitating than seasonal allergies. what if her hands are covered in mucus and she hits the “bomb the earth” button by accident? what if she’s…
Yeah. On the one hand, i am like I don’t need you to tweet a goddamn selfie every single day (that's what instagram is for and i will block you there too). On the other hand, i also think using your Twitter to document this kind of thing is a great idea.
As much as I despise Twitter for the mundane updates on what friends and colleagues had for breakfast, it really is a pretty remarkable thing sometimes. Case in point: The Twitter Revolution.
As much as I hate the vapidity of social media, if twitter didn’t exist, these kinds of injustices would go unnoticed. Making the powers that be feel shame is a very strong deterrent.
Exactly my point. This argument about it technically not being his daughter is just odd.
Ok you know what, I can count the number of people on one hand that I’ve ever called a cunt in my entire life, it’s not a word I use lightly.
