@CptnGrammar: It cannot run in flight, there's a risk of fire. Typically, you do not want to use APU higher than 20,000 feet, and over 225 KIAS

@Gazoogleheimer: APUs can catch fire if left running at high altitudes.

@aec007: Actually, APU's cannot run in flight. Some planes cannot even start it in flight (747's), and some planes usually start it at approaches and turn them off shortly after takeoffs.

@Haneul: Delta's A330 (inherited from NWA) I took to Hawaii in September had power in all business and first 15 rows of coach.

@RecipeForHate: They are posting source code that they are legally required to by GPL. Everything else is a closely guarded secret. So yea, Apple is still as closed as newcomer's buttcheeks on a first day in jail.

@catsmeatpotterpirbright: Kickstand is my new REQUIRED feature. I will not buy a phone without one. I use my EVO to watch TV series and movies when I am on lunch. And kickstand makes it easier to hold horizontally as well.

@Scott: At least with new hardware requirements, people who do not do the homework, at least won't be stuck with half-ass phone that moves with a speed of molasses, in winter, uphill. Yes, Touch Pro and Vogue, I am looking at you.

@tw@t: mere act of attaching this to a 747, while feds are tracking/watching him, will probably land him in Guantanamo...

@OCEntertainment: No. They took out access numbers from billing system.

@ddhboy: It's not. They are addon services to your phone.

@Norrin: You ever been to NYC? Sometimes, you need to drive 5-6 city blocks just to find a parking spot. So people risk a ticket by double parking to unload groceries, instead of walking 5-6 blocks with all the crap that they've bought.

This just in!

Security my ass...

@Dexomega: Been in DC few times, and one thing I have to complain about is ass-backwards subway fare system. Peak, off peak, discount rates, plus different fares from one subway station to another is nuts.

@iLLuminO: REALLY hope you had camera attached somewhere. I am still 2-3 flights away from solo, but I wouldn't want to hold the camera while doing it.

@vnod1978: The reason is pretty simple. While plane is about to crash, chances are that pilots are doing something pretty important, like going through checklists, trying to fix whatever may be wrong, or simply trying to control the situation as much as possible. So, instead of a captain or first officer get on the PA

@alek2407: Also considering how old MD-82's are, I can see the only piece of onboard equipment that MAY run any type of OS is the FMS (Flight Management System, the "keypad and screen" looking device above throttle quadrant). FMS is not essential to the flight operations.

@Nitemancometh: Brings back memories... downloading stuff from AOL's chat rooms via computer store's T1 and taking it home, back in 1995...
